a discussion about storing energy as compressed air. I could see this as a way to store any energy above my battery capacity.

Just a question, wouldn't a steam engine be better for the long run? Yes I get they are not the easiest to work, and labor intensive. Or maybe a hin and miss engine. Both can be set up fairly easily to a generator to produce long term power.

You're talking about a way to generate power. This is about a way to store energy. You could certainly combine the two.
