How to start blueberries from cuttings

Reading thru the thread 53 plants to grow from cuttings inspired me to dig into do just that with a couple of my blueberry plants. I took Joel's recommendation and got the book "The Reference Manual of Woody Plant Propagation". It arrived today and while thumbing thru it I also started searching for blueberry info in particular and ran across this article. I feel like between the book and this article I should have a fighting chance to make a go of it. I've already selected a few limbs to use for starts. You can read the article here.

Dunno if it's relevant, but . . . is the book referring to blueberries, or to boysenberries? Or does that even matter?

The book isn't so much as specific to any particular plant. It is more general in ways to do cuttings, grafting, and other techniques. Blue berries is just my chosen plant to try.

I did plant a couple of Boysenberries last week. So if they develop well and we like the fruit, I will do the same with them. Also, planted Logan berries.

Bacpacker, I sense that you are just the person to "confirm or deny" my long held notion that the "high-bush" blueberries and boysenberries are the same berries.

VThillman, The best I can do is to confirm that Starkbros.com sells both highbush blueberries and boysen berries. So I would say no, they are different varitites. The pics of the berries even look different.

Ah, thanks, Bacpacker. Gotta go to Starkbros and look at 'em. Now at least I can correlate big and little blueberries with cultivated and wild strawberries. Dang, been a long time since I've seen wild strawberries.

Well shucks, those boysenberries look like spherical blackberries, not at all like blueberries. I've been "laboring under a misapprehension" for decades! No wonder I tired easily; all that laboring was doing it!

Blueberries and Huckleberries look like close cousins. Anything you can do with blueberries can be done with huckleberries too.
I like pancakes with blueberries in the batter and blueberry syrup over the top. (anything worth doing is worth overdoing.)
