Who has them?
Do you know there are 3 different ones???
A Christmas Cactus which is pretty rare.
A Thanksgiving Cactus which is almost always sold as a Christmas Cactus when its actually not.
An Easter Cactus which is sold in stores as an easter cactus when it really is ;)
I have some of each and really enjoy them.
I only have one true Christmas cactus that I was just given a cutting off of. I'm dying to see it bloom but it will be a few years.
I'll get some pictures of some of my thanksgiving cactus blooms as well as post a few photos of the differences between the 3 as soon as I get in from the fields.

All I know is I've yet to see any of them for sale in my area. I don't know why, they're easy to grow and the blooms are so lovely.

I do have some epiphyllums that look much like them.

I had to get my epis through the internet.

None of those places have the holiday cacti. Doesn't matter when I look, they are not to be found. Guess I'll have to use the net again to order some.

Most of my epi's came from online.
Sadly the last one I got seems to have brought a disease with it. Took out all my dragon fruit plants and I'm still trying to get it under control in my epi's. It almost looks like maybe it got to one of my thanksgiving cactus. I've been pretty upset about it. Trying to keep things quarantined with birds and bugs all around has been a nightmare. Add lack of information online and

Well, now I know, all of my plants were Thanksgiving cacti.

What are you seeing with your plants that makes them look sick?

You could contact a horticulture group or a college to send a sample to to get a determination on what you're dealing with.

I would get a sample sent off to someone. Do some digging, I'll bet you can find some organization that will tell you what it is and how to treat. If it can be treated.

My automatic response was, oh whoa! when I saw that pic.

I was just doing some digging. It appears that most universities have an ag department where samples can be sent. Perdu has an app that you can use to submit pics of the plants. But they suggest checking with an ag department within your state due to differences in disease/pest prevalence state to state.

This is a cactus that used to stand at our restaurant. Some folks estimated it at 250-300 years old.
I believe at one point it was the largest Saguaro in town.
One winter it rained and rained for weeks.
The cactus drew up so much water that it just couldn't hold itself up any longer, and began to lean towards the addition we had put on., threatening to crush the building.
Sadly we had to pull it over. When it hit the ground, it was a huge thud.

Just for fun once I listed it on ebay! https://imgur.com/DRCWoYt

You just filled me with all kinds of guilt. I've been ignoring my orchids and my epis for the past week. I need to find time for them sometime this week.

How did you get them all to bloom at the same time?
