This grapple is so handy! Finally took down this pine that was beside the house.

Look into renting one.
Most people only have a couple weeks worth of work to do then it just spends the rest of it's life sitting in a shed.
If you don't have 40 acres to work on, renting is the solution.
And it's probably cheaper than you think.

From where I live it is a LONG way to where I could rent a machine. Plus my pickup is too small/light to pull a trailer with a tractor on it. And I agree with you that renting is the answer 95% of the time for many folks (including me).
 
I had a 3025E 25 horse power, but it didnt seem to have enough tail. I traded it in on a 4052M 52 horse power. I use it a fair amount, but you are correct it will spend alot of time in shed.
