now that's the news I like to Read!
How about a 6-pack?:D
Boy, the media is really biased and hesitant about reporting these.
Headline is always: "One man taken into custody following a shooting at 123 Anywhere Lane". If it's SD, you never see a follow-up story.
You have to dig deep, and catch them when they are reporting about something else, and accidentally spill the beans.
This one is about the terrible increase in justified shootings and the spin that no shooting is justified.
"Violent crime up
The increase in homicides by citizens that police determined were justified began two years ago."

Just in Albuquerque, in 2015 alone:
"Justifiable homicides in 2015
Here are the homicide cases police determined were justified last year.
On Feb. 10, Carl Garcia, 28, was fatally shot outside a northwest Albuquerque apartment after fighting with his sister’s ex-boyfriend, according to police reports. Sgt. Liz Thomson, of the APD homicide unit, said the homicide was found to be justifiable because Garcia made threats and the man who shot him believed he was armed.
On Feb. 26, Robert Bartley, 28, was fatally shot by a homeowner in the foothills who awoke to find him inside his kitchen, clutching a knife. The homeowner told police he fired three to five rounds at Bartley, killing him.
On March 23, Willie Amador, 43, was shot and killed as police said he was trying to force his way through a screen door in southwest Albuquerque. Police found a 6-inch knife next to his body.
On May 1, Carlos Menchaca, 36, was fatally shot when police said he and at least one other person attempted to break into a house near the University of New Mexico. One of the suspected robbers shot and critically injured a person in the home before another resident shot and killed Menchaca. Police have not found Menchaca’s alleged accomplice.
On June 30, police say Tomorio Walton, 27, forced his way into a West Side hotel room, and held former CNN staffers Chuck de Caro and Lynne Russell at gunpoint. Russell said the assailant shot de Caro three times, seriously injuring him, and de Caro returned fire, killing Walton. A week later, detectives arrested Skyy Barrs, who they said was Walton’s accomplice. Barrs has been indicted on several charges related to the incident.
On Sept. 7, Justin Mack, 35, shot and killed two men – Josh Valker, 18, and Christopher Gonzales, 25 – who he said broke into his house. Mack was not charged for the shooting, but he was charged with drug trafficking after detectives found a large amount of heroin in a safe in his home."

(anyone notice in #5 that the CNN staffer
 was armed? Glad that never got out!)
Of course, the cops were absolutely no help to their story:cry::
“I wish society were safer, but it’s not,” Finzel said. “People are trying to use good, sound judgment. They’re not out there committing crimes, they’re not out brandishing guns, they’re just trying to avoid becoming victims.”

"When seconds count...the cops are minutes away."

Not their fault...they can't be everywhere !!

BUT...until they do arrive...who are YOU gonna count on !?

Answer: YOURSELF & your weapon of choice.

I've been much happier and I think healthier since I stopped consuming "alphabet news"!
Well here's one you'll never see on the 'national media':

Bearing Arms said:
"A 61-year-old man found himself up against four armed attackers, all younger than him, and the anti-gunners don’t think that’s the time to use an AR-15? He was disadvantaged in every other way possible. His best course of action was to at least have them outgunned as best he could. Even so, he was still wounded.
Something anti-gunners either don’t know or don’t care about is that the armed citizen doesn’t get to pick the nature of their engagement. In fairness, a lot of gun people don’t seem to get it either, but an anti-gunner really doesn’t. Then they want to make laws that ignore reality. Imagine, for a moment, that the AR-15 had been banned in Florida and this homeowner had complied with that ban. He’d be dead right now.
Instead, he’s recovering from his injuries while two of the perps are dead and two others are facing charges. That’s a win by any definition you want to use.
My personal opinion:

That is freakin' AWESOME!
The Tribunist said:
“I just started to pray and I feared for my life,” she recalled. “After that shot it was like three shots, bam, then bam bam. It could have been two, two or three.”
Engel originally thought one of the suspects had started shooting, which she felt meant they were probably going to shoot everybody.

Engel soon realized the customer at the back of the store was the one firing off the shots as she recalled him saying: “No one points a gun at me & gets away with it.
The first suspect died immediately, while the other was rolling on the floor in agonizing pain...
...The trio is allegedly responsible for robbing another convenience store mere hours before. Officers confirmed the man who shot the would-be robbers was legally carrying and was within his rights to stand his ground.
Drop 'em where they stand!:great:

Guess who else also heard those gunshots?

...All the other would-be robbers in the city:eek:.

https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/m...becomes-compliant-after-armed-customer-a-gun/Nothing good happens at 5:30 in the morning. Especially for those who have been awake all night, drinking and acting dumb. Such was the case when a machete-wielding armed robber stormed into a convenience store in Metairie, Louisiana. However, the would-be robber remained sober enough to become meek and mild when an armed customer drew down on him.
