I got pretty hot planting spinach for over winter so I decided to go swimming in my cement pond. Its been 7 years since I made it and its still in really good shape despite freezing weather in winter. I did everything myself and it cost a little over $600 to make. Its pretty large too, 52 ft. long and 32 ft. wide and 11 ft deep. Its made of chain link fence and chicken wire covered by about 2 in. of sand-cement mix. It has six ft. wide plant zones on each side that keeps the water clean if I keep the pumps going. Check it out.

Thanks for watching and God bless.

Very nice! Great greenhouse too!
Thank you Weedygarden, That high tunnel (greenhouse) is what fills the pond with water by the runoff. The pond is on the highest part of my property with no natural runoff, so its not a place where a pond should be. It takes a lot of rain to fill but I have no problem keeping it filled unless I forget to shut off the pump when I use it to irrigate my high tunnel, Doh! I've done that a few times.
Thank you for watching and thank you for your kind comments, and God bless.
