:woo hoo:@MoBookworm1957 good on you. We have a bingo/extra not spent splurge money jar and when we win same or more back we put it in there for the next time we play and the extra splurge money in there for entertainment too. It sometimes pays for a few extras too.
Half of what I win goes into entertainment jar(going out to dinner with friends, movies) other half goes back to the bingo money purse.
Sometimes it pays transportation cost for ride to VA.

Day 4 of not spending any money today :) . We baked and made a double batch of peanut butter biscuits, made our own homemade condensed milk, a cheesecake and a double batch of white sauce/chocolate pudding premix from food storage items we had here saving $80.20 over buying them premade in the shops.

Attitude! :)

When we went up the mountain to winterize last weekend, we also shut the main breakers in both the house and shop. I was expecting zero usage (tracked via app). The yard light which there is already a $7.75 monthly charge for also adds to usage so I called and had it shut off. It was in a poor spot and mostly lighted our neighbors yard. They loved it (and mentioned so). We are not there so I feel no need to pay for our neighbor's convenience. Our power bills for up there have been $32-$37. With no power usage and no yard light fee or usage we will have the basic fee (for having a line connected to the house) of $18 plus the $3-$4 of usage since last billing. I don't like paying for things we aren't using.

Slavery lives! ;)

Busted Wednesday with doing our grocery shop online on a 10% off store wide in the larger supermarket we shop in and saved $26.62 on usual prices.

Thursday another bust where we paid for the electrician to put in the new lights in the kitchen, a baton for the bathroom downstairs, wire up the oven and put in a larger fuse in the power box and run heavier duty 6mm cabling. We saved in total from the most expensive electrical quote to the one we said to do the job being the lowest quote saving $697.34.

Now Friday and on day 1 of not spending any money today.

Today is pay day so I'll get my next grocery amount.
I saved $65 this time around but I'm not sure if I want to put it in the emergency money or keep it separate and use it to stock up on some extra things....decisions decisions........... maybe do half and half..........

Busted as I knew we would but here is what we saved -

- By buying clearance fruit, nuts and a special treat chocolate biscuits at a small independant supermarket we saved $21.31 on usual prices in our larger supermarket.
- Wrangling still a lower price for two log lifters/cant hooks and post puller in ones ($170 ea) we saved $512.50 over other prices we saw locally and online.
