This isn’t fair! we didn’t get electricity or a tv until way after most americans, I missed most of these shows.. Heck, we got indoor running water the year Armstrong walked on the moon.
True story, two spinster sisters (farm next door) came to visit and see our tv. One kept twisting and moving in her straight-backed chair…
After they let my sis asked my mom why the lady kept moving?
Mom - “She was afraid the man on the tv could see up her dress!”

My wife handed my uncle a jar and ask him to open it.
He did and then he asked her if she knew what that means. She said no. He replied, "it proves it's a man's world and always will be."
He thought it was funny, she knew he was just teasing her so she kept her snappy reply to herself.
She does not keep her reply to herself when I repeat it.
