Interesting to see how much foreign aid each country gets from the U.S. I hope you can see this chart well enough to see who gets what.

It looks as though the wealthy countries get more of a token amount. Germany gets half a million, but is that a peace offering for letting the U.S. have bases there? I did not see anything for Canada and Mexico, but I might have just missed it.

Canada does not need our taxpayer money.
I wonder why we give them aid? So they will be our friends?

And Israel? Why in the world do we give them so much money? It may have started after WW II, but haven't they gotten it together?

What if this aid was reduced each year for the most financially stable countries? If they were all told that we are reducing aid to the wealthiest countries by 1/100th each year for a few decades.

Was reading about the NATO meeting this morning, Trump and all the European leaders. Trudeau and Macron and Boris acting like little boys on the hot mic.
Do any leaders take their jobs seriously? Or are they all just playing?
Why are we giving them any of our taxpayer money?

This list still just ticks me off. When every vet has a place to live and food to eat, when our national debt is paid off, when we never have to borrow a penny from anyone else, and when our national infrastructure is in perfect working order; then and only then, should we be lending a hand to other nations.

This makes me think of parents who want to finance their children's college but do not have the finances to do so, so they mortgage their home to the hilt and empty their savings. Then when they should be retiring, they have not taken care of themselves and are in trouble. What will most of these countries do for us?

I looked for Saudi Arabia and could not see it. It might be another one of those that is there, but I am not seeing it.

Bottom center, .36 million.

It allows us things. If we loan/give money to countries that will never pay us back, then we can put companies there, we can get their natural resources, we can determine who is in power there. We have a say in what their country does if they owe us.
I say we mind our own business and do what Sentry said.

I wonder what determines how much money we give to each country?

I am still wondering about Israel. Why are we giving them that much money? Is it because they are surrounded by Muslim countries? And?

My guess is they are both tactical and espionage based payments. We need to have jumping off points and safe havens for operations of all kinds, especially in that region.
