I will do you a deal with you @MoBookworm1957 .

I will spring for the winder if you agree to post strawberry or your granddaughters feeding the skeins of yarn.

PM me

Ben
Strawberry would think it was a new toy.
Grand daughter would probably unwind instead of winding it up.
Could I use that hooked up to table as direct feed to knitting machine?

It is a winder that rolls up yarn into a nice uniform ball with about a 1" core from which the yarn is drawn out to feed the knitting machine tensioner.

@MoBookworm1957 If you have a bunch of likes on the same posts, it's me 🙄 My computer is being odd.
The blanket turned out wonderfully. And I would wear a sweater out of the colors of the sleeves. They will be perfect for the autumn chills.
I am using what I have, not buying yarn.
I have enough of the cuff yarn for top of shoulder.
Maybe the front panels on one sweater but not both sweaters.
But have enough of the body of the sleeve to make both backs.
And 1 matching front panels that matches the sleeves.
These are for Christmas.

Finished a half dozen washcloths.
Decided to finish up this little tote bag.
My little tote bag goes with me to the doctor, park, left in the car.
For a quick knit when stressed.
Sewed up travel pillow cases for grandchildren for Christmas.
Making Dinosaur nightgown for bonus grand daughter for Christmas next year.
Will be working on grand children's Christmas quilts tomorrow.
Mending someone's bib overalls.

I finished my first pair of socks - not perfect, but they do resemble socks. They are too big for me so I'm giving them to my mom and have started another pair with different yarn and updated sizing so will keep you posted. so far I have both toes done and am on the boring part on first sock: boring part is between toe and heel - round and round I go.

So if anyone has a sock knitting machine to part with or sees one for sale, I'm probably interested. 😁 I only recently learned about them. I've been trying to learn how to make socks and am a slow learner with yarn. My first pair fits my dad! I'm working on a smaller second pair, but it's not my forte. I tend to love old machines anyhow so one of these would fit right in and maybe get me socks a little quicker than what I do. The ones I've seen are a little spendy for my blood (understatement!) Will have to see if I'm meant to have one or not~

They seem to be quite expensesive if they have metal parts.
I don't have one, but hey I'm still trying to figure out the knitting machine I was gifted a year ago.
I was having so much trouble with understanding the basic concepts of it the bonus grandchildren got me knitting machine class on DVD for it for Christmas this year.
The class DVD showed up in the mail yesterday.
We'll see how that goes.

Just searched for knitting sock machine on Amazon! Had no idea this was out there. Knitting has been on my learn to do list for awhile. Very cool stuff.

Reworking Tunsian Entreloc Crochet blanket from odd miss-shaped blocks(2 inch) into bigger 5 inch square blocks.
Working out well so far.
All the colors rows in miss- shaped blanket now make 5 in block.
Much easier to work with.
And no I don't have my glasses on, so spelling is off slightly.

I just finished my rag rug for the fireplace area. This is my new hobbie. I started with the oval rugs first and made a slew of them. All my store bought rugs are wearing out and falling apart every time I wash them. I saw my neighbors rugs that she makes n asked if she'd teach me.
I really like making them and I can pick up sheets for 50 cent to a dollar at the local thrift store. I dyed the orange, pink n yellow in my rectangle rug. The brown already brown. I try n only use 100 % cotton sheets but some are mixed blend. They wash up like new n cost very little to make. It's a win win!

Very nice work.
Are they crocheted?
Or are they braided?
Or both?
