Today we had layered salad for dinner, the wife got it started but after a few minutes standing up she wasn't feeling well. I helped get her to her chair and checked her O2 levels, 81 not great, combine that with her constant low blood pressure and I could see why she was feeling funny. So I finished up the salad, it was nice to be able to use the vegetables out of the garden.

Sorry Urban hope the wife gets better soon. I tell you some days are not good. Glad you got to have fresh salad. We have to gran all the good things in life we can.

Thanks, somedays you can forget what we were told to expect, other days you wonder how much longer will we be able to keep this up. At least with COVID and telework I can be home for her. If it were not for that we would be in a world of hurt. I don't play the lottery but sometimes I wish I had the funds to just quit/retire and take care of things at home while it still makes a difference.

I do know what your saying but Urban once that happens you'll still be busy and wondering which important job is the most important to do first. It never ends. But it also has its good times.Yall take care.

I haven't seen any yet, but, do have my snake grabber ready for em.

Yes we do .We bought this one new a few years ago,its a nice one.Hubby has carried a few snakes to the woods with it. We don't kill them unless they keep coming back.
Grabber, bag to put them in. We took one down the road to wooded area. Others we just throw in our woods. Two strikes aand they are dead.

Played Euchre until about 3am, and the GF left for work at 3:30 am. (flight attendant) Didn't fall asleep until sometime after 5am. Slept until 10am, cleared the area for todays drywall install. Put up 6 sheets then had to install the pantry door so I could get the proper measurements and cuts for the next sheet. That was a pain in the neck, but finally got it plumb and properly shimmed. I need to put up some insulation before continuing the drywall so,..... waiting for the meatballs to finish cooking then it is dinner time, shower and bed.
It's been a long day. Looming forward to cutting and installing insulation batts tomorrow. (not really) It's an interior wall, but using if for sound suppression. Easier to install before the drywall, and I know I don't want to hear the footsteps on the stairs so it needs to be done. Plus I already bought it so I guess I have to use it.

All Ya'all talking about rain, I am jealous. We had about 10 sprinkles out of 2 days of promised rain. I know I live in the high desert but occasional rain would be nice. I would take an all day thunderstorm, but 5" of rain might be a bit much around here.

81 is very low, Urbqn. Does she have portable oxygen. My husband is doing well when he's in the low 90's.
We are all tired out. The little granddaughter's class fishing trip (no fish to be found, but lots of turtles), and then the High School band awards and dinner. Then we took them out for ice cream. So everyone has missed their bedtimes now, and off to bed with them.

She has a 60' hose, but she hates it. She will slip it off to try to make dinner and then I find her asleep leaning against the island. Have to lead her back to her chair, make her put the mask back on and wait for her to bounce back. Her normal blood pressure is something like 88/45, sometimes when we do a Dr.'s visit they make her put her arm up in the air to get the BP low number up..... Really instills confidence.

I remember when they sent her home 20 years ago, she refused a blood transfusion and they sent her home the next day (Her numbers were in the low 80s then and they fudged the numbers to send her home). 2 weeks later I get a call at the house, is your wife still alive? We need to get her into our Heart Failure Program.

And people wonder why I don't run to the doctor for every little thing, if it ain't broken and it doesn't need stiches they arn't getting to see me.

I don't think husband's hose is quite that long for the O2 for sleeping. I think I would be tripping on it all over the place. We keep the O2 machine in the bedroom closet and mostly close the door, and the hosing it just used from the closet to the bed. He has a portable pulse that he can use anywhere, under 10 lbs with a shoulder strap, and that can hang on the walker. But it's a pulse and not a continuous.
I hope she gets to feeling better. That really stinks.

Her big machine is in the hall bathroom, the hose will reach to anyplace on the main floor, I have a hook up high with a pulley and a weight to bull back some of the line, but it is still a middle of the night trip hazzard.

We have one of the portable machines that we take with us whenever we leave the house, have chargers in the cars. She cannot lift more than 8 pounds so I made hooks on the back of her wheel chair (she can walk about 30 feel with assistance, but after that she is stuck) to carry the O2 pump bag. When we leave the house we have to take the O2, the go bag (extra IV pump, spare batteries, extra bag of medicine, ice pack, and cleaning supplies for the line), it makes every trip seem like a major event.

Funny story, she chose not to take the wheel chair one time, she got into a store and couldn't get out. She was stuck near the exit, I drove the small car up to the big double automatic doors, poked the nose of the car into the store and loaded her up. After that she quit fighting me about always taking the wheel chair. But that was long ago when she felt much better. The kids were with us and they were totally freaked out by me going nuts and just driving into the store.... To be honest the store manager was at the door and guided me in (I'm not 100% crazy, just a little touched ;) )

Whatever works. I would do the same. We have a wheelchair just in case, but he gets along ok with the walker if he can sit after 20 or so steps. He pushed it today at the fishing trip for granddaughter. The walk was way further than we thought. We just stopped and he rested alot of times. He didn't think he could get his walker to the dock to give little granddaughter her first fishing lesson...baiting and casting, but he did just fine. He just sat while he did it all. He can usually do without the O2 during the day, but not if he has to wear a mask. That is just ridiculous for him. Thankfully, it's not needed where we live unless we're at the docs. Another headache is that he has to have an electric cart if we're shopping. Sometimes they read full, and they poop out , always at the back of the store. So I have to leave my cart, go locate another electric one and drive it to him. That's always a pain for him. And then there's the trips to the bathroom.....

Scary when the weatherman’s “news” reporting is more trustworthy then the news media’s “news” reporting.

Today I am boxing up gifts for the kids and grandkids and getting them in the mail. I just got back from a very relaxing trip to Cancun with hubby, oldest son and his family. We had a good time.
I need to glean off the kitchen table where I have a sewing machine, fabric, other sewing items spread out everywhere. I should vacuum, too.
Unfortunately, I’m very much a procrastinator.

Still feel slightly nauseous but am OK.
When I used to get nauseous or dizzy, it meant a stone was about to start moving! Hope you are feeling better now!

@snappy1 is probably having fun going by the radar and warnings.
Tornado siren only went off once yesterday. Big improvement from the last batch of weather when it went off 5 times, some overnight! Also, we only got 3" rain instead of 5" with the last weather. And the power only went out for about 2 hours instead of a day or more. Good times.

Tuesday morning before the storms started, I walked, then ran up to Walmart.
Washed sheets, blankets, rugs and dog blankets.
Went for haircut at 1 pm.

This morning, walked first and walked dogs.
Printed out tickets for train-not for another 2.5 weeks, but I prepare ahead. LOL
Girls came to help me do heavy cleaning. Yay!
I still need to make jello.
Need to list one book for eBay.

Hope anybody still getting weather stays indoors and safe!

Worked for a while then worked form home. Had to get here in time to meet the washer delivery. It seems to be doin ok, wife has already ran a load. I went out after supper and checked on the garden, VERY muddy tonight. But the taters, and dry beans are doing good and ready to work. Last onions are doing well and ready to fertilize. Cucumbers, Okra, and green beans are all coming up. I took a few pics and will try and post in the garden thread tomorrow.

Got all the mowing done yesterday.
Repainted mama's patio swing yesterday. ( used bed liner spray) we'll see how that holds up.

Installed new air filter in the Lebaron (what a PIA)

Today....gonna pick up my friend Doc and take him out for lunch, before more storms move in.
Love spending time with him , he is soooo intelligent. Always learn something.

Then , depending on how tired I am ... I'll find something to do.

Y'all be safe and stay busy.

Jim
