I’m sorry your having trouble sleeping. Same here.
We'll both survive.

I would do a double shot of bourbon to knock myself out, but there's always a chance of getting a random whiz quiz at work, and the limit is .002 blood alcohol content. I don't take chances with that sort of thing...

Yes we will.
I hear ya. Although I’d just have to sniff it and I’d probably be on the floor. I also am always on call. The few occasions I have any booze it always seems something happens.

When I worked a headquartered job close to home I was always on call too. Usually call outs happened after 10pm. I stopped off for dinner and a beer one night after work and got the call right as I was settling up my tab. The boss was pretty pissed at me for refusing to come back to work...

When dealing with animals there’s always something unexpected.
I can’t image a boss mad because your being responsible.
The railroad is a little different from most employers. Most of the bosses treat you like you're property.

I live in a single wide mobile home, when I turn my bedroom light on it’s like a strobe light for a while, then when I turn it off slowly dims till off, some throughout the house dim, then really brightens,

Are the Bulbs 'LED', or incandescent? Have seen that happen with 'cheapie LED bulbs' when they are on the way out, but.. If they're standard incandescents - and Especially if One Room's fixture is 'effecting the Others, elsewhere' - Imho, you Need to get a Qualified Electrician out there ASAP to check / Ohm that all out - Before you end up an 'article in the local newspaper', knowhatImean?

My MIL lived in a single wide MH and she constantly had problems. I was the one that always got the call to fix something. Her MH was manufactured in the 70s when aluminum wiring was used. I had to open every outlet and switch box and tighten every connection. The water heater was a constant problem even after I used a special paste made for connection copper fittings to aluminum wiring.
I would advise you to open the breaker panel and tighten every connection. A poor connection will get hot and a fire is possible.
Make sure you have working smoke detectors.
If you're not comfortable working around electricity then do like my MIL did. Call someone.

Today I drove a stretch of highway I haven’t been on in several years. For about 10 miles the road is arrow straight but goes directly up and down some very large hills. In years gone by I’d sometimes take a loads of cattle up that road to a sale barn.

One day I started with a load, had 7 or 8 large calves in the trailer (700lbs ea). As I started down one of those long hills a tire blew, evidently the other tire on that side had already gone flat.

I heard the tire blow and just took my foot off the gas since there was no place to stop before I got to the bottom. Also at that moment I hit a big dip in the road and the trailer started to fish tail.

Amazing, those cows saved me! I could see them in my mirror. Every time the trailer went one way all the cows leaned the other way! I might have made to the bottom anyway but those cows sure as heck made it a lot easier. The fish tailing resolved itself and I coasted on down to the bottom.

Sweet dreams @Pearl! Hopefully you get more than 2 hours. If not you know someone is always up here 😉

Not always. I was the only one awake back when I had pneumonia. Ended up talking (typing) to myself. I figured I was going nuts from lack of sleep but after talking it over with myself we decided that with me being sick for weeks mixed with the antibiotics and steroids made it ok for us to have a good chat. 😄
After a while @havasu showed up and kept telling me to keep coughing even though my chest really hurt. I talked it over with myself and we decided he was enjoying my torture.🤣
