I used cribbing on tractors or any large equipment. Bottle jacks work fine in conjunction (I sometimes use floor jacks). It's just safer this way. No point in risking injury over a tire.

Tires with ballast are extremely heavy. I have 2 tractors, if I get the tire off I can use the other one to get a tire on a trailer. Without the ability to get the tire on a trailer I'd take the whole tractor.

I have both tires off this small tractor. I lift the tractor while sliding cribbing underneath. I let the tractor down on the cribbing before starting any work.

@sonya123 I can't remember if you are north of the boarder or still in the US, but we are hoping for a "good winter". We want some of those southerners who moved north to go back south leaving property prices a bit more reasonable.
Also, you might consider "natural light" lightbulbs at least for the darkest winter months. If you like led, just put those back in when the days start getting a little longer again. The natural light bulbs are said to help with SAD also.

Um...we don't even know how to get it off. Is a regular floor jack good enough for this? Not sure it goes high enough. NO plans on trying to fix it ourselves. It needs to go to the shop. There is a tire place that has fixed ATV tires and large truck tires for us, husband plans on calling them. But we need to get it off first. I am sure those things are super heavy. And yes, it is filled.
If it's water filled, it's probably a rusted out rim. I've seen that several times.

How heavy is the tractor? You might be able to lift a little tractor by using a bottle jack under the rear axle.

I never learned to roller skate. My town was to small for a rink. There was a "traveling rink". They'd go from community to community, rent a building for a couple nights. It might be a couple of months before they came back to town. All I got were periodic blisters from skate shoes that didn't fit.

Nothing much outside got done. Dad and I had a continuing discussion of important future issues, talked quite a while. Something happened yesterday that finally opened his eyes about future family issues. My mind was made up 6 months ago, took him a while to ponder. Thanks to yesterday's event he can see it clear also.

No other plans but tv... still need to feed the calf.

That was our thing to do on Friday nights...meet at the roller rink. I loved skating, but with the 4 wheels, not the in line stuff. And of course, the skate dancing and the disco ball. Ha.
We went out for a long walk along the property line since the weather is gorgeous today. Husband on the big scooter (the Wrangler) and me walking. He got a flat. Bummer. We'll be taking that tire off and having the guy in town fill it with goo like we've done before on another tire. Unpacked 4 large boxes today. I need to make better headway before pulling out Christmas boxes. Little granddaughter's mom and the boyfriend came for their visit today and that's always a bit weird. Ready for the kids to go back to school tomorrow.

Speaking of skates...when I was working up in the Amish area of Wisconsin a couple years ago, nearly all the Amish preteen and young teen kids were getting around on roller blades. They'd go right down the highway and into town on them. That was almost surreal to watch...

I noticed that and thought "Wow, we're bucket mouths."
Today, Hubby was mean and cruel. He said I needed to go help and offer some input or he was going to make garden decisions on his own. Can you believe that? So I went out, and we got the yard & garden majorly cleaned up for winter. Had a huge pile that he burned. I got a few elephant garlics planted (that he dug up.) Also got an end of the year foxglove and hydrangea the ground. It's supposed to rain tonight/tomorrow so they will get well watered in.

My dad called this morning and asked if my son and wife would like to play golf this afternoon. He developed several golf communities in his life and thinks everyone likes to play. My wife and son enjoy it but I never have enjoyed it. I went with them anyway and hunted golf balls, ended up finding 126 balls. After golf we went to Red Lobster for dinner. Pretty nice day.

Roller skates. Haven't been in a long time but always had fun.
Terri, you get lots of accessories with your freeze dryer, can't imagine what all else there'd be.
@hashbrown hope you keep on truckin
Really wish I could get away from here because this area is growing fast. Still have a lot to get rid of and repack. I emptied two small walk-in closets in less than 2 hours because they told me they'd be tearing up the floor or tearing out walls. Had no idea it would go that fast. I keep my fabric stash in the closet among other things I didn't want the help to know I have. My hangers. It's the hangers.
Knuckleheads didn't fix my water problem. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe Tuesday.

@Terri9630 Congratulations! Please update us on how it goes! Feel free to add to my thread if you’d like. Also check out frozenright.com. I’m ordering their ice guards and the tray racks from them. What size are you getting? I’m so excited for you!

I haven't heard of that website, I'll check it out. I'm getting the medium. They said 8 weeks to ship, I want it now!! ⏳

Heading to big town today to pick up my countertops.
Stop at VA for new ID photo.
Stop by Lowe's for kitchen faucet.

Lunch

Stop by Chevy dealer to look at one of two Colorado's in west KY.
Stop by Nissan dealer to see if they have any 2022 Frontiers. I been studying about the NEW Frontier . May be interested.

Then home to start countertop install.

Busy day today.

Isn't it amazing how God has improved my health from last 2 years .

Monday after a long weekend - trying to find my desk. It's sunny and gorgeous out so I have spring fever- wanting to "go play."
Something I've noticed: last year it was as though many were decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas - very merry and festive from about Oct. on through. So far, I've seen very few decorations - as though folks are loosing heart. I am fully aware that it's not about the decorations, but am still surprised. I'm actually looking forward to Christmastime more this year for whatever reason - but we don't have TV so nobody to tell me I'm supposed to be glum. Hope folks find their hearts soon.

I hope they do, too, Lady L. Christmas is going on in our little town, but for some reason the Christmas program at the grade school was cancelled. That is always a big event. We'll probably go to the amish school Christmas program and watch my cousin's grandkids perform instead then. They did an announcement though that the grade school will be doing caroling in town on the 17th, so there's that. The classes put on a carnival today for the other grades, so little granddaughter is all hopped up on candy and pop and had a great time. Before I knew that, I offerred her some church cookies when she got home. Ha. Went to get some sale items at the little discount store in our town. Mrs White's muffin mixes were 50 cents each, and they're already packaged well, so got a bunch. Tuna and canned salmon were a great price. Then on to our meats and cheese store place to get some fresh cheese for the week. Washer repair going coming in a half hour instead of on Wednesday. Thank goodness. It's been 5 days and it is not pretty around here. Want to get a washer working inside, and the wringer with the rinse tub and spinner in the garage. I think I want it hooked up to the solar, with the option of the generator. That's how my favorite cousin's daughter is running hers, although her mom says "that's pretty english of her". Ha.
