A pic taken today of one of my Golden Nugget mandarins on steroids, compared to the others. Great tasting fruit!

Neat, I'd never heard of this one... It's actually a real snake.

Don't get me started, lived in san mateo a few years. Was in sanfran often, that place was a zoo back then. And so politically correct it was nauseating. True story... once during a visit to bama I bought a gun rack for my truck. I did it just to annoy my neighbors in cali. They'd leave yellow post-it notes on my windshield, "bambi killer" was the usual message. I'd laugh my butt off every time it happened. It didn't even have a gun in it!!! just the rack!!! Cheap and hours of fun!!! 🤣

Only 20mins to chinatown from the office, great place for lunch.

He, hee! :D
We grew up in Bama and they were in the back window of every pickup truck.
Little known fact:
They were in the back window because it skirted the 'concealed-carry' law.
Since they were clearly visible from every direction, they were not 'concealed'.
Not
concealed:

Way back when, the first thing I did after getting a new to me truck was install a gun rack.
Most of them already had a rack but some didn't.
I could drive through the main gate at the Navy base in Washington with my a gun in the rack and the Marines would just wave me through.
I yearn for the good old days. They are lost forever.

Really? Many people still have gun racks in their pickups around here.

My high school parking lot had 10 to 1 trucks with gun racks in them and most of them had a shot gun or .22 or both

Easy ride rifle rack was what everyone called them.
No idea why.
I live in an area that has more pickups than you can count. Rifle racks are rare because of theft. There is also a new law that you can be arrested if some one steals your gun and uses it in a crime if it was not locked up.
I went to a meeting to talk about the states new anti gun measures.
Our County Sheriff was there and the first thing he said was he knew he was in the right place because the parking lot was full of pickups.

I was born in San Francisco but the only thing I remember about it was how steep the hills were. Fun fact: the lab crew at the hospital where I was born were all illegal immigrants who had failed their qualification tests more than 3x & they screwed up my test results one too many times so my dad went in and deported them.

That rattlesnake is beautiful! I still want some kingsnakes in my yard. I'm afraid my dogs would harass them though.

This is the springer spaniel we may or may not be keeping. Husband bought him home- 'on trial' - though anything we bring here stays- the owner just took a dislike against him. No other reason. The man in question has been known to shoot a dog if he doesn't want it, and my husband couldn't bear to see that happen with this guy.
He is one year old, quite big and strong, good-natured and smart from what I can see. He's inclined to stay around your legs, so we are calling him Trip (as in Trip Hazard) for the want of anything better.
