From what I am seeing the Shield IS an M&P. It's a single stack thin frame M&P,with just a tad shorter barrel than the compac.
So if the holster is an open toe it would fit either

Has to be the height of irony. Ronnie Van Zant wrote that song for Gary Rossington to wake him up. Apparently Rossington was big into substance abuse. Rossington ended up being the last surviving member of the original group. He outlived them all.

Off topic story
I was Clark Field in the Philippines. The base put on a all night concert at the local football field, it was not bad I had a good time in till some local philipino got on stage and butchered the national anthem by Jim i Hendrix
Ya’ll. I was scared for that dudes life the crowd was pissed off. Everything that could be tossed on stage was flying through the air
We Americans can butcher our national anthem , it is ours, but if you ain’t one of us, you better sit down and shut up
