I sure hope many if not all our forum member watch the roaring 20's video and the Not so Great Depression. The 20/s teach us about changing moral and economics or the lack there of. The depression teaches about perseverance and the need to be prepared for a long 10+ years to a semi normal recovery. Thank you for the video's and the food for thought.

There are three threads I save for the end of my day, this is one of them. Thank you to all that take the time and effort to make my day complete with information and entertainment. It is greatly appreciated my me and I am sure many others.

We've been so busy I forgot about this thread. TMT, Glad you like it and looks like a few others here do too.
I'll see what else I can find.

Also anyone can join in and put up whatever they want to talk about history.

The Fifth Estate doing what they do best. This piece of work really did mean it saying " Good Night and Good Luck". I take it as :sarcasm:.

McCarthy warning us about what we have today. Very informative if anyone wants to know some of the facts of this era in our history.:good luck:

Pay close attention to 5:14 segment of video.

Gen.MacArthur, Maj.Patton and Maj. Eisenhower came on the protesters with bayenetts and tear gas.

This history lesson surprised me when I read it several years ago.
The House voted on giving them early payment, it was defeated by the senate, 69-18 [ or somewhere near hat number] . Now of course congress that sent them to this WW1 war was fat and happy Great Depression didn't affect them at all. So they basically said " let them eat cake ".

Spanish American War,

Click to 2:50 to save time.

I just watched most of this film. Interesting.
I figure since there is no good movies much today I'd get my entertainment from some history and take it with a grain of salt. Hoping it is mostly factual. Plus I like history.

The Tea Party aka American Revolution came up today in a thread here, so thought I'd put it up. My goodness I didn't realize these soldiers went all the way to Quebec to fight this war, learn something new all the time.

For those who would rather read it,
https://www.britannica.com/event/American-Revolution

LOL, Abigale Adams wrote to her DH ,John Adams " all men would be tyrants if they could be " so women will demand their rights soon after this revolution" . Well Abby looks like all humans are tyrants, Abby never met Hillary ,Nancy etc,etc,etc..

10 empires who almost ruled the world. America is in here too.
Although this history is bias and what really took down the empires were drugs, immigration or invasion and complacency it is still very interesting and times are factual.

Very interesting facts about a family made famous by a movie. A movie that was basically a documentary' The Sound Of Music '. I liked that movie a lot and taught 6 of my grandkids to sing by the song in it, at least those who could sing anyway. I didn't know the movie was a true story.
In the movie they all joyfully walk off into the mountain, this is the rest of the story.

Where did the communist Bolchevik's run to once chased out of Russia? Maybe once they felt threatened there they decided to take over our finances here, not sure still studying that one. Just 3 years before they were ran out of Russia here in America in 1913 the Federal Reserve was formed her that turned our financial institution over to a private entity that nobody even knew. Something McCarthy was warning us about.

Religion played the biggest part in forming this nation. Two religions were involved , the Protestants and The Catholics.

We will start with Catholics who had conquored many European nations for the mother Rome.

The American Reformation, short version.

History of Viet Nam War and where some went after the war.

TMT or Car can yall make this a link to it on YT instead of video?

I was close to these vets because I was in that era and knew many of them some in my own family. I didn't like hippies that cussed them at all. They got a real bad rap and that is a shame.
