We have a speaker at each of our Kiwanis meetings on Mondays. I asked the sheriff to speak at this one about what he and his deputies are doing for the county. He's involved with a lot of things, like the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion. He's coming and it always comes with a catered lunch, so it will be nice. Then taking a friend with dementia and his dog to the veterinarian and a city council meeting this evening. I go to the city council meetings to see what's going on in the city and sometimes I give them some input.

Good morning every one
I have already been up for a couple of hours poking a stick at the dems on quora
I have nothing planned for today and will just go with what ever flow presents itself

Started drinking hot coco and coffee mix this morning. Not a bad blend

Taking the girls to school this morning, (yes, school is open), animal chores, and husband has a doc appt after lunch. If he's feeling up to it, a haircut after that. He's still looking like a hippy, it's been awhile.
I get one hair cut per year. I shave my head in may or June. And let it grow

so we had 3 surprise lambs yesterday. There were a week early . We didn't discover them until mom had dried them off but they seem ok despite the cold . It was probably just above freezing when they were born. We moved mom and lambs into the warmest room in the barn and I gave all of them some colostrum supplement in case mom didn't have enough but she didn't seem to reject any of them. Today they are going to get a shot of B vitamin and Bo Se

We need to go shopping hope nobody else has them early while we are gone. They are officially due on the 27 ( and later)

Lamb is soooooo tasty. Do you raise for meat or show?

I've done very little the past two days. Too cold for outside work and caught up inside.
Not many folks at Church, yesterday. Walked dogs. Watched movies with DH.

This morning, I will walk when it warms up a bit.
Laundry.
Make Lasagna Rollups for dinner.
That's about it. Should start warming up well--tomorrow!

This morning I ran errands, there was a possum sitting on the the back steps, I guess he was looking for @Magus's house.

I'm trying to get all my chores done before leaving tomorrow morning. I have chicken tortilla casserole, beef stew, and stewed lentils set out for the wife's dinners while I'm gone, she has 6 slices of quiche and a bunch of bananas for breakfasts. I need to be out the door before 03:30 tomorrow, so I'm trying to get as much done as I can today.

I guess I will need to unplug by about 19:00 tonight to make it all work out.

Coffee , wondering what level of stupid will rear it's ugly head today.
I simply do o not have time for stupid or ignorant. I used to argue with it, that is a waste of energy. Walk away let stupid be stupid

Set a couple of empty trash cans out with a couple of bricks in it. And something stanky
Opossum crawls in and can not get out
Few days later kick the can over so the ants can clean up the mess

Rainy day so searching through old photos. 2 cups of coffee
and still not motivated to do laundry or finish dishes.

Regular day here, got up an hour earlier, usual chores, made lasagne for dinner and did the veg for tomorrow night. Cooked up some redcurrants from the freezer and made a sauce. My sister bought me a seed container for Christmas so I did some sorting, then spent the day researching American authors and doing assignments and bursary applications.
Vasts quantities of coffee involved, and like @Tirediron Trying to avoid all level of stupidity today by not putting on the TV.

Do you mean on the forum ;) or the world?
If the world s population reflected this forum, we would be in very good shape.
The world, and some people in my vicinity

Thanks, Patchouli, AmishHeart, Viking, Tommyice, and Tirediron. I appreciate the support. It is winter and the blahs do get at you. It really is a wonderful group here and I like being here. <3 I’ve never felt unwelcome either, just was questioning if my presence here had value. I’m very grateful to hear that it does.

Amish, sending you love and prayers for you and your husband. Chronic illness is so hard.

Ben, feel better! Achilles tendon damage hurts like heck, been there done that, and don’t miss it. Hope you recover soon.

Congrats, winds-of-change! He’s precious. Welcome, little one!
I've enjoyed your posts too..hope you stay!

Holiday today so everyone is home. Making a French toast bake. Had a loaf of bread from last week that got forgotten in the oven for about 30 minutes longer than it should have so it had a heavy crust on it. Regular French toast would have been a bit chewy! Boys have this weeks bread in the pans to rise. Husband has a bee in his bonnet and apparently wants to do a bunch of projects outside around the neighborhood. The boys are hiding currently because they want to eat before getting sucked into a day of chaos.

Did his computer break again?
Yup.

Froggy out. Most folks' have today off. I think we've usually been closed for PD but Hubby said we were working. Think he's had enough of that "world stupidity" spoken of above and just wants to get things done. A couple of our guys have had personal happenings that have effected their schedules (we try to be understanding and let them switch days when such things arise) so it works for them to work today so here we are. On the other side of that coin - Hubby also says his dad (& mine too) never took days off for us as kids. If he didn't work, we didn't eat - the end. So it can be a struggle to balance.
Otherwise all is well and Happy Monday.

There have been times I might not have agreed with or shared the same outlook or whatever with a few others over the years, and it's ok to respectfully disagree or just not engage.
I have noticed those who choose to name call or come across as a expert know it all or belittle anyone who they think are less in some way, tend to not have the greatest experience.
Everyone can have something to offer..respectfully.

Liking that seed container, Magpie. They almost look like tictac containers. We have too many eggs, and I usually bring some to my favorite cousin, but am staying away a few days. Her daughter that lives next to her and the whole family have the fever and cough thing. So thinking of making some baked custard for dessert this evening. But first, lunch and doctor's appt, and maybe his haircut. But he is not looking like he wants one today.

I need to get on a few chores and get ready for work.
I'm wondering if the blower motor arrived yet..its about a week late. Makes for long, slow boring nights.
Did they catch the failure before the saw dust plugged up under under the head??

I'm thinking probably not ..or not in time. They attempted to fix the issue and it kinda worked for a while. By the next day is went totally kaput...so weve been only running the big side.
The small side produces alot more in volume so..we cant run that side or everything really plugs up.
