This is very common for Judge Judy. She is quick to let people know that they only need a simple yes or no. Of course, it is not the way we treat someone we care about!

I'm technically orientated. It's what I do for a living. Plus I'm a strong believer in,"Talk little, say much". I ask a question in a particular way to help get to the source of the problem ASAP. Listening to a long reply about the history of the problem and every real and perceived problem full of worthless chaff just postpones the resolution.

Did the sun come up this morning? If Yes, good. If No, "Do you have a lighting source? If Yes, good. If No, would you like to borrow mine? Quick, efficient and no fuss.

Did the sun come up this morning?

Yesterday I got home from work late and didn't get all of the laundry done before supper. My friend gave me a new casserole recipe which I thought I would try but then discovered I didn't have all of the ingredients. So I fixed leftovers instead. So I stayed up late and finished the laundry because the dress I wanted to wear tomorrow was dirty and in the laundry. I guess I should have washed the dress first but then it didn't really matter because I didn't wear it then after-all. So I didn't get to bed until 1 AM.

Did you notice if the sun come up this morning?

I didn't get up till late so I didn't see the sunrise. Fixed a late breakfast before doing my exercises. There's something wrong with the VCR because my exercise tape wouldn't play at first. And "we" need to rearrange the furniture too. The glare on the TV from the sun made it hard for me to follow the instructor...

I don't think I would eat what my husband would fix. If I have a rough day or have to work till 7pm, then his solution is take out. The pizza man delivers.
There are many families that I know of where the husband does the cooking, especially the evening meal. It may be because he knows he is a better cook, or knows he wants a good meal. And then there are many men who have never cooked. It is all in family lifestyle, interests and abilities.

I always made dinner, I got home first. I worked 5:30-3:00, she worked 8-4:30. Not a Chef, but not a bad short order cook :)

Peanut & Jelly or lunch meat & cheese between two pieces of bread, chips and a glass water. The knife and glass I wash, dry and put away. 5 minutes and I'm done.

Wife. A pan to fry and simmer the meat. Another pot for the vegetables, another for the potatoes. Then dish the food into separate service dishes with more spoons. Plates and silverware. Kitchen counter is filled with the dirty dishes, stove top is dirty. Even if you didn't use some of the silverware, it all gets washed.

Wife has put it very well. I eat to live, she lives to eat.

I saw this on facebook this morning too. No wonder the rest of the world says English is the most difficult language to learn.

DH does make the evening meals here which started as he was on a pension and I worked 70 + hours a week at one stage and it has continued on. If we are cooking desserts, pies ,biscuits etc I usually do that but DH and I lately have been doing that together too. DH is a wonderful cook but you just don't want to let him near cooking cakes and biscuits as the results can be tragic indeed. We are all born with certain skills I think and you work with whatever system works in your home.

We wash and dry up the dishes together too.

Things we don't understand...
When the cat is slumbering and I touch her, she wakes up with a cute sound like a purr that says "hmmm?"

How battleships are built. I want to see that. I don't understand that.

How human minds are so strong, so weak. The will to survive, the determination, and on the other hand, how what were once considered pleasurable experiences send one to a spiritual death or an early grave.
Oh sorry.
Why does our dog smile at us when we come home? Not with her teeth, but the ends of her mouth go up.

Why do chefs like to cook with saffron? It's so expensive. It's like pure gold!

I don't understand why my body went downhill the second I turned fifty. Everything aches now.
My son's girlfriends little dog "Izzy" is so excited to see us Every Single Time. It cracks me up. She's come in the house to visit us 4 times today and each time is just as exciting as the one before. She smiles with her bottom teeth showing.
I don't understand why our one old man cat doesn't let the other old man cat sit in a sunny spot in the house. He tackles him every time.

Ive never been to Hawaii..Id like to go someday..I hear they have a interstate hwy..wha?? so my to do list is to now locate this interstate and post a picture ..just cuz..then Id like to melt into the serene quiet beaches with a cool n fuzzy drinky..with a little umbrella and a piece of cherry and pineapple stabbed on a toothpick and as I sippy the drinky..sway away the wonders of a sunset weight deep in warm lapping waters..

Since dinner, there have been at least 5 commercials for "Help the xyz" for only 19.00 a month. Shriners, Red Cross,Disabled American Vets, Wounded Warriors, and March of dimes. EVERY one of them is only 19.00 a month, and you might get a blanket or a t-shirt. Who picked 19.00 a month? Why are they all identical? Inquiring minds want to know :p

Our marketing "expert" claims if you keep the price below $20 more folks will bite. Make the money on the add-ons.

Lazy L....your wife was putting together a meal. You were throwing something between two pieces of bread. Do you eat it over the sink?
I think you have two definitions of what a meal and meal service is.
It is kind of you to wash the silverware.

Of course I eat it over the sink! Where else? :D

Check out how much of the money that is donated to these "charities" actually goes to that cause. Pennies on the $. Wounded Warriors decided to take lavish business trips with all the $ they had donated. Things may have changed there, but even so, I wouldn't consider giving them a red cent.

You get all of these commercials on television, but every where that you go there is someone asking for money: the grocery stores, the pharmacy, etc. I always say no and would really like to say, "hell no." It is just so annoying.

Here we donate the cost of 2 meals per month out of our wages to fast offering which goes to help worldwide community aide as well as aide to those in need church members. I know where that money goes to and has helped in many worldwide disasters plus our church puts it all on an annual and monthly expense report and we are audited 3 monthly.

Apart from that I will donate goods to charities and I have a proviso here, is that they sell their goods at reasonable prices to help the needy. I will not donate to those op shops that charge an arm and a leg for their goods and sometimes and mostly more than new prices. In my view there is no excuse for any charity to sell secondhand goods at higher than new prices.

This has bugged me for many years. Just don’t understand.

A 20 year old has a baby. 5 years later he is 1/5 her age. 10 years later he is 1/3 her age. 20 years later he is ½ her age. 30 years later he is 3/5 her age. 40 years later he is 2/3 her age. 60 years later he is ¾ her age. I am afraid to go further because it might get to 100%.

Please don’t make my head explode by trying to explain it.
