Chilly tonight... temp on the front porch is at 29, already a heavy frost in the yard. I started running my gas space heater several days ago. Tonight I picked up a new humidifier at wallyw. Its a must for me in winter.

Next 7 days.....

We have a wind chill of 30 degrees. that wind cuts right through you. Gonna be even colder tomorrow

I just went out and threw what was left of head of lettuce from the fridge at the edge of the garden. I didn't even bother putting on pants... it's 62 degrees outside right now. 2 nights ago it was 27 degrees... Weird weather and it's nice when your nearest neighbor is a mile away. ;)

Rain......again. rain all day tomorrow then temps in the mid to upper 60's sunday.

saw a blip from a local weather page that we might get some snow on wednesday ( which of course I have doc's appointment)

The fog that has dominated our weather is gone today. It is supposed to be mild (for this time of year) for the next couple of days with cold weather following that. Winter is blooming! I love it.

cold and snow falling..a tiny bit of rain now n then too
warm fire by my stove later after hot spring soak!! OOOHhhhhhh!! love it!
supposed to get 1-3 inches today and same tonight
so far it is all melting away and not sticking but that might change tonight..dont care..I gotta stovie and the time to enjoy it..
Happy girl..lol..

We were supposed to get a trace to 1" in our area, didn't happen yet but it did snow down to about the 2,000' level on the mountains to the west of us, at least it's the start of replenishing our next years water supply and that's what is the most important thing.

I woke up this morning to about 6" of snow and 32*F. That's 0*C for those of you that can't leave well enough alone. I went out and ran the snow blower around the drive to give the sun a chance to get rid of that last bit of what I can't reach with the equipment.

After a wet snow and then a warm (33° F) day yesterday, it didn't get above freezing today. any snow that didnt melt is now ice. Luckily, the ground that got cleared like roads, sidewalks, etc. got dried off enough that it didn't refreeze. Sounds like it's staying below freezing for a while here too. Winter has finally arrived...

cold...clear skys..beautiful drive home last night with Sirus shining bright in the dog constellation in my view..Orion next to it..
0 that's zero degrees when I left work ..gah...I looked like the kid on that Christmas movie..A Christmas story with 5 layers on. lol
In the shade this am on my porch it said 2 but in the sun its 28..
as pretty as the night sky was last night..Ill be ok for some clouds to heat it up a few degrees. Monday were supposed to get more snow, until then it is forcast to be below freezing day temps and below 10 degrees at night here. Where I work..colder..blah!!

38 degrees at 4:00 PM, cloudy, fog and smoke. Just glad to stay inside with a nice warm woodstove, need to close up the chicken coop and replenish the firewood. I do miss the warmth of summer, sad to say we really didn't have much of a summer due to all the smoke from California fires coming up here, however I do feel sorry for all that lost homes and businesses because of those fires.

Looking forward to seeing that bright orb in the sky again sometime. Not much for solar gain these days. Batteries need an occasional boost here and at the cottage. Fortunately the Honda EU2000i can do it even on ecothrottle...fairly quiet. Light snowfall...just some flakes. Maybe 4" total on the ground...although with all the turkey and deer tracks they beat it down to clear earth. Hope all is well on your homesteads.
