I saw most of those too Patch, liked them too. A few I don't know.

I'm not big into movies. probably my favorites would be old John Wayne westerns, Clint Eastwood westerns (The outlaw Josey Wales), And some of the old war movies (Longest day, tora, tora, tora, Midway, and newer ones Platoon, Heartbreak ridge, Full Metal jacket). The vacation movies were funny, just recorded the Christmas version to watch coming up soon. The old Cheech and Chong movies were hilarious. One I would like to see is American Sniper.

I saw all those at drive in in the late 60s and early 70s, Hang Em High,For A Few Dollars More, etc,. My husband liked them. I was more into the beach movies back then, haha.

It depends on the Genre... Comedy (fav) (1) Movie... "Raising Arizona" actor, Nickolas Cage. (2) A British zombie movie... "Shaun of the Dead".

Both movies are absolutely retarded! Both are in the realm of the "3 Stooges"... except they are slapstick with an education... which is why I love both films.

I have Dvd's of each, watch them occasionally.

Die hard movies
Man I forgot about Gran Torino
Tremors
Independence Day
McClintock
Just about anything with Sam Elliot
Monte Walsh
6th Sense
Dances With Wolves
Open Range

I'm done now

I like a lot of the great western movies, ironically many were based on novels by "Louis L'Amour". I have most of the novels he wrote, over 100. For instance, "Hondo" w/John Wayne, "The Sacketts" w/ Sam Elliot/Tom Selleck. "The Shadow Riders" w/Elliot and Selleck, "Shaugnessy". "Crossfire Trial" w/Selleck, these are movies almost verbatim from L'Amour novels.

There are actually 17 novels written about the Sackett family. 4 more were movies, 2 starred Sam Elliot. Parts of 6 others were used in films.

More than a dozen other great westerns were based on novels written by Louis L'Amour.

We were Soldiers was a great movie. Paled in comparison to the book.
Your comment reminded me of on that I read then saw the movie. By the way, no movie compares to the book if you can picture what you are reading. The movie was...

Where the Red Fern Grows

That was my favorite book growing up. The movie was not done bad but the book is way better.

One of my top 5 movies is The Rare Breed starring Jimmy Stewart. But didn't read the book. I did like Where The Red Fern Grows movie.

O Brother, where art thou?, Second hand lions, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Blazing Saddles--that movie was so ahead of it's time! The 5th Element--I don't know why, but when it comes on I have to watch it.
Me too. Along with Robin Hood, men in tights, Footloose and The Princess Bride.
