We had decided not to exchange gifts, because nobody knew what to get anyone else. I did get my daughter some cloth napkins because she had been wanting some for a while. My daughter had a like new pressure cooker that she didn't want, so she let me have it. I have had a pressure canner, but not a smaller pressure cooker. That is all good to me!

God allowed me to wake up today so I had another chance to get it right.
Thank God 4 another day.jpg

I got a plane ticket for my wife to see the kids and grandkids and a week of doing whatever I wanted. Keeping vows, commandments and laws in mind. Okay I confess I hung out watched tv and took some naps. I went completely nuts and had steak for breakfast and cereal for dinner. Lol

A number of books, too much chocolate, bath towels, Cabela's gift card, a triangle dinner bell. Mother in law had a ham sent and a cheese wheel. Husband and I are getting each other a windshield for the Ranger at the farm. An employee of ours has a boyfriend who made us a Tin Man from the wizard of oz out of cans and it's adorable. I got a calendar of cows doing yoga. Husband received a couple of "date night" gift cards from our daughters so we can go out without the twins.

DW fruitcake is from 100 year old recipe, is home made.
Fruitcake, banana Pudding, banana nut bread all must be home made.
A man will stop & look at a nice looking woman, but a great cook will keep him home.

A new lantern that is composed of multiple flashlights looped together that you can pull off and use individually and a vivitar action camera with multiple mounts. The wife got multiple sets of flannel pajamas which is just what she wanted. Having my extended family here and a relaxing day when I should have put some road miles in. I'll make up for it tomorrow. Run in the morning and gym later.

A new vacuum cleaner, a weather station, and a backpack hedge trimmer, lawn edger, pole chainsaw in one.

Today being boxing day we also found the 90 cm free standing fan forced electric oven we have had our eye on on super special and bought that too. It will be so good to have enough room to cook everything without doing multiple batches.

I got my sewing machine from hunny early which except yesterday have used everyday since he got it along with my other early present which was my freeze drier. I haven't used it too much though. I wanted a jar attachment for my vacuum sealer which I got from my sister. I didn't do a fall garden but will start back right after the new year. I needed the break for my body to heal up and also for me to have time to finish up quilts. Got a few Joann s gift cards too.

Hubby knows me so well...he came in the living room, said Merry Christmas, and handed me a pack of AA batteries, to which I replied, Thank you, but I needed the triple ones...LOL...thought they were for our weather station to keep up with the outside temp....then later that evening, he came in with the present...night vision monocular...so much goes on around here at night and the dogs go crazy, I am always up to check on our stuff and the neighbors as well....
