I did buy some pecans. Maybe I'll give it a try before next year. I never have made cinnamon rolls from scratch.

Last chance at homemade was about 20 yr ago. On a ball team and one of the team members gave us some. Our term got into argument over one being a pro so I was mad :( and threw them out the window. Hubby was mad at me for that.o_O

We made up but she didn't make anymore rolls. Of course we didn't tell her what I did.:D

My sis in law worked at a cinnamon roll cafe. Hot drinks and cinnamon rolls was all they offered, quite good.
You threw them out the window!? Maybe she saw them lying by the roadside. Lol "that darn Meerkat, see if I ever give her cinnamon rolls again."

Didn't think of that one Patch,LOL. We use to have a little coffee shop bakery who made them fresh every morning, hubby stopped often to get them on way to work. A crowd was there in the AM for those rolls too.

This morning I made creamed chipped beef and biscuits.
Lunch was just some cold cut sandwiches on rolls
Supper will be spiral ham slices, au gratin potatoes, cranberry sauce, steamed broccoli and the rest of the biscuits from breakfast

Chef Salad. Two kinds of lettuce, mushrooms, tomato wedges, and three kinds of meat cut into shoe strings.

Someone told me that they soak their beans all day and put them in their crockpot overnight. I did that, cooking northern beans with a ham bone, onions and seasoning. I woke up a few times in the night and could smell it. My original thought was that I was going to have bean soup for lunch, but no! I had some for breakfast. I know I will have it for dinner as well.

We are on our own for dinner tonight. Probably some turkey I brought along, and I have a ton of sides in the fridge. Tonights New Years Eve snacks: chips and dips, cookies, and I make rumaki for my husband every New Years. Yuck. He loves it. Been making it for 35 years. Have some champagne, too.

Do you make rumaki with chicken livers or with water chestnuts?
