Yesterday I tried to move my front door knob to the back door. I spent most of this afternoon trying to correct the necessary problems caused by an improper back door installation in 1974. The biggest problem was the strike plate, badly done. It was badly done because of the door frame face plate.

The entire door frame was done with recycled wood. Dad did the best he could… the old house had been destroyed by a tornado on 03Apr74, money was tight.

Any who! It took a couple of hours with a wood chisel and a Dremel tool to get create a proper seat for the strike plate. Still… the strike plate could not be screwed into the door frame.

The proper alignment for the strike plate put the screws in between the face plate and the stiles. A screw would never hold…

I had to glue the strike plate into the stile. Hey, Gorilla glue works wonders.

Finally, I have a back door that can’t be kicked in by a small child chasing a grasshopper.

The twins got the tree down and ornaments put away on Sunday, but we still have garland hanging all over the house and other doodads to contend with to pack. Maybe I'll get a little done after work today. Started reading a new book series (3 books) while waiting on granddaughter to finish American Heritage Girls last night. It's entertaining, but a little hokey. Called, "SHTF Fight Like a Man" book 1 by LL Akers. Book number 2 is called Shoot Like a Girl.

Back in August I heated a can of Ravioli for lunch. About six hours later my stomach was bloated until I emptied my stomach by vomiting. Within 24 hours I'm back to normal. I'm thinking food poisoning.

Ate a bunch of Pizza Hut pizza New Year's eve. News Year Day morning my stomach was bloated until I emptied my stomach by vomiting. Within 24 hours I'm back to normal. None of our New Year's eve guests got sick, rules out food poisoning?

Sunday for lunch I had a Culver's cheese hamburger with a strawberry sundae for desert. I woke up Sunday night with another bloated stomach, more vomiting secessions and a slight fever. Took Monday off from work and now I'm normal again and back to work. I'm thinking Flu since I haven't had it in years but no cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches or diarrhea.

Sounds like a food sensitivity.

Just got home from VA.
Had doctor's appointment, it went well.
Had my hearing test done too.
People need to speak up alittle bit when they speak in monotone.
Orthopedic appointment went well too.
Off to take a nap, tonight's date night.
Don't go back to see Orthopedic until 5 July 2019.
As of right now, no surgery on right knee.

I woke up sunday with my neck killing me. Had my whole left side of my neck and arm down around the shoulder blade hurting. I had to take an aleve. Didn't knock back the pain much. It was all I could do to get my arm up to brush my hair and get a shirt on. Same on monday. Could hardly get a shower and my hair washed and the left side of my jaw started hurting at the joint. Could barely chew.. Changed out my pillow and that seemed to help. Neck felt a little better this morning and my arm is much better. Had to take another aleve and now the jaw pain is almost all gone. Hopefully another night and it'll all be gone.

I don't know what I get up to in my sleep but man, sometimes I really hurt myself lol

So I haven't been doing much. Even the heating pad didn't help.
I have to get the dishes done today
Clean the top of the stove
Figure out supper

...People need to speak up alittle bit when they speak in monotone.....

Tie a thread to a button. Put the button in your ear and the loose end of the thread in your shirt pocket. When folks think you're wearing a hearing aid they speak louder.

what do they have in common?
the cheese hamburger and the ravioli have "beef" of some kind. The ravioli and the pizza have tomatoes. what meat was on the pizza? All three had some type of flour in common. Its been a very long time but does the ravioli have any cheese in it?

Meat was hamburger. Don't believe the ravioli had any cheese. Had a Subway sandwich for lunch, it's staying down and may rule out flour products.

Worked all day.

last night we decided to do some stocking of certain food stuffs. Sent the wife out to get a load of canned goods, frozen veggies, and other staples. Tonight made a trip to our favorite meat market and loaded up on roast, burger, pork, and such. Good quality and even better prices. We added a good month's worth of food today.

Feelin better about the short term if things turn bad after tonights speech. Actually I am a little more hopeful of what may come from that after 24 hours pondering on it. Regardless, the good lord has things in control, so no need to worry.

worked all day too..after work saw the mustangs owner by the store and asked if he had colic and if he survived. I leave when It is dark and its dark when I get home. So I cant see in the field. She confirmed he did colic and they thought he was a gonner. He pulled through so far..I offered any help if he turns south. Not sure what help I could give but ..?? They are considering getting rid of him, realizing they might not have the resources to deal with a senior semi wild horse. :(
waiting for the Presidents speech..very curious about what is going to happen.
Interesting developments with china recently too..makes me wonder...

I don't want to be an alarmist but jaw pain, left side pain and numbness are both a sign of a heart attack.
My SIL had her first one when she was in her 40s.
She had no idea what was happening.
Women's symptoms are different than men's.
Keep an eye on yourself and if in doubt get to the ER.

Went to the dentist so he could check on work he did a week ago. While in that town, I stopped at the salvage grocery store and picked up a few things. Came home for an hour and went to game day at Church. Home for the rest of the evening and probably most of tomorrow. I hope!

Was there ketchup on the burger? Could be something on the tomato sauce used in all 3 items your sensitive too.

He is exactly right. A man's heart attack is usually sudden, extreme chest pain... A woman's heart attack... pain is all over the place... lots of strange symptoms (sort of like your emotions... ;))

The emotions remark was a teasing.... the other part... Not! Women's heart attacks tend to be in slow motion... not sudden. A simple blood test at the ER or your doctors office can tell you if you had a minor heart attack. Better safe than sorry!

Absolutely! I lost my mother in law with very similar symptoms! Please go be checked out!

Yesterday was lawn mowing day and our neighbour also asked DH to mow hers as well and paid him $20, we told her that was too much but she insisted. When DH mowed the front yard I was traversing with the lawn clippings and putting them around the trees in the front yard and out the back around the outhouse putting the clippings around the jasmine vines. I then put on a load of washing, hung it on the clothes line to dry and brought it back in.

We then moved onto repairing the shed door that wouldn't shut due to the fact the ground had swelled breaking concrete from the previous owners running the water from the gutters and the grey water into the sullage pit. DH took off the door and the screws he just pulled out with his hands which is why the door was sagging partly. He then trimmed some off the bottom of the door and retrofitted it around the pipe coming out of the door with the reciprocal saw. I found some paint we had left over and painted around where the hinges were where there was no paint and painted the bottom of the door too to keep the wet out of the timber. DH put the same hinges back on with longer and the right amount of screws and it opens and shuts a treat now.

In the evening we washed up all the dishes and put them away and folded up 2 loads of clean washing and put it away and I swept some of the kitchen and lounge room.

This morning we started off with using some dirt from our neighbours property that she isn't using to fill in the holes in the dirt driveway and compacted it with our levelling tool we invented and had made, sort of a hoe but wider with a higher blade. We then went to the shed where I noticed plasterboard broken in pieces beside the back shed so I broke that up and put it in a garbage bag along with other bits I found in the lean to and put it in the garbage bin.

We then got the trailer and filled it up with all the kindling and stacked it on tin in the lean to on tin we were given. We now think this will be the best place to stock our firewood as it will stay dry being closed on one side. Once stacked we will get a better idea if we have enough firewood for the coming winter.

Now just sitting and relaxing for the afternoon.

Heart attack maybe?

Alls well this morning when I got up. Neck is so much better. No pain anywhere. Guess changing out the pillow and some easy neck stretches and the resulting cracks and movement must have fixed the problem.
I've had issues with my neck and back ever since I had a motorcycle accident years ago. I don't know the technical medical terms but where your neck, spine and collar bones all meet is where I have the most problems. I make it a point to have good posture because of all the orthopedic problems from the accident. Just have to live with it.

Thanks for all the suggestions

Since I have full range of movement now I have things I have to get done today. With the pellet stove going every day dust shows up way more than usual
Also have some cleaning to do in the bathroom.
Have a load of my laundry to do
and before all that I have to get a shower lol
