I do have some, but I actually think I have only eaten it a couple times in my whole life.

When I did eat it, it was sliced, fried and eaten with eggs for breakfast

I am wondering who eats it regularly and how you eat it?

I did know someone who ate it ground up and mixed with other ingredients to make a sandwich mix which was put into hamburger buns wrapped in foil and then were then oven baked. I believe that there was some cheese involved. I want to find a recipe that is similar to that.

Any recipes for SPAM out there?

Spam Pizza
Take
1 can of spam
1 can of spinach
limburger cheese

Combine all in the trash, unopened preferably.

Order a pizza.
That bad? I wasn't impressed with the SPAM I ate, which is why I haven't had it since. But it seems to be a prepper food. I thought maybe there were recipes which made it taste better.

This might be the recipe I heard about 35 + years ago. Hard to know.

1 (12 ounce) can fully cooked luncheon meat (such as SPAM®), cubed

3/4 (1 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cubed

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

1/2 cup creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®)

8 hamburger buns, split

Directions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Stir together the luncheon meat, processed cheese, relish, and salad dressing in a bowl. Spoon the filling into the sandwich buns, and wrap each sandwich individually in aluminum foil. Place the sandwiches onto a baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is hot, and the buns have toasted, 10 to 15 minutes.

In my younger years I would have starved before I ate Spam. Now however I really like it. Fried crisp for breakfast is my favorite but I also eat it uncooked on a sandwich.
In Hawaii they put Spam in a lot of dishes. During WW2 it was about the only available protein source on the islands and it became very popular.
I also like potted meat and vienna sausages. I don't think about what they are actually made from.

People tend to either love spam or hate it. I'm in the latter group. I will not store spam just because some prepper, somewhere thinks it is a good idea. There are many other good protein sources. I have canned tuna, salmon, chicken, and beef. I also keep several cans of Dak canned ham which I would suggest that you try before you stock up on spam.

Store what you eat, eat what you store. I don't eat spam but if you do then store it. Today there are too many good options to stock up on something that you don't care for.

OK. call me an "outlier" (strange, weird, pick an adjective) I like spam (btw, my SO already knows I am strange, but she likes brussel sprouts :p ) I like s slice the spam into 8 slices, grill, 1/2 slice of velveeta cheese melted onto a slice, and served on toast. It's also pretty good catfish bait, and you can eat some while you are waiting for the cats to hit. DO NOT stoop to the lesser meats like armour, they are not the same :)

We used to get the DAK hams in our Christmas baskets, I really miss the hams :(

I've eaten spam since a kid.I've eaten it as is straight from the can rinsed off or not.fried or not.by it self or as a sandwich. I've got 4 cans of spam 10 cans of Vienna 25 cans of tuna 1 can of sardines 4 cans of deviled ham on my food shelves at this time.and here i am with a primary shopping trip coming up ..:p :D

I will eat raw fish before I eat spam. The pizza recipe sounds good though.
I like raw fish too.
Had a buddy that was married to a Japanese woman and she would clean all the fish we caught. First fish she cleaned she would put it in a sauce and eat it while cleaning the rest. She also made sure we had fresh beer and chips. Everyone wanted to know if she had a sister in Japan that would like to marry a Navy guy.
Only bad thing was her dog. It was some little hair ball, that only understood Japanese, he would hide and wait till you weren't paying attention then zip out and nip you. She thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I want to try the bacon flavored spam or the one with cheese in it. I grew up eating it also. I still do once in a while. I especially like it diced, fried with diced onions and then used in omelets or in a country scramble. Dice it and you can make a hash out of it

have you gone to spam.com to see the recipes?

I'll have to try that :)

Imagine, if you are a fan of SPAM and you have a bunch of rice in your preps. SPAM fried rice could be a perfect meal, along with some onions and sprouts and whatever else you might have.
Did you know that SPAM is a big deal in Hawaii? SPAM fried rice is a common thing for Hawaiins, but I'd bet there are restaurants there that specialize in SPAM and probably cookbooks that focus on SPAM recipes.
