It seems as though there is a movement/celebration/parade for darn near everything these days. There is a "gay pride month", "black history month", "National Ice Cream month", even "National Left Handers Month".

It occurred to me that with the celebration of our nations' birthday in July that perhaps a movement geared toward the folks in "flyover" country was in order.

That would be a good thing except we only have guns as long as they allow us to have guns.

Even the NRA has been highjacked by illegal laws and agendas. And they caved because not enough support from gun owners.

Tort, I do understand what your saying and agree that gulags are no place to die. But this day and time that saying will be the only choice if what I read is true.
They can watch us with drones, and even satellite's from space. Plus they have foreigner special forces troops training with our military just for the very purpose of citizen uprising.
Once the communist within cause the civil uprisings looks like China will move in and take over? Just thoughts, not saying its true.

Our military will follow orders and kill us if told to. I still honor them when honor is due though,because they will also die for us.

Really? I left the NRA because they capitulated in spite of what I and many others told them: "don't back down at all". I know several other people who left the NRA because the NRA is weak on gun laws. SCOPE and GOA have a better track record.

Bear in mind the NRA was originally started to teach civilian marksmanship, not be a defender of 2A. The NRA-ILA does try here and there, but at the end of the day, it's just another political entity comfortable with sidelining principle for expediency.

As for #gunpride July, I endorse the idea and suggest we expand it to include all twelve months.

As for what you may own, I'll leave it at this: "When the government says you don't need a <fill-in-the-blank-make-and-model> gun, you need <that> gun."

No argument here, I'm just saying once it starts be prepared to see family and friends die or worse. "War is hell". And I'm sure some here already know that. We've never seen our own children blown away or killed, civil war is up close and personal.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just relaying the facts of what we would be up against.
 
As George Washington said;
