Hey folks I just finished my video on my new outdoor shower I made from an IBC tote and will run it off of my spring that is up the hill.I have an on demand water heater but so far have failed to get it to work. I tried bigger gas hose, adjusting the water flow, using a 12v pump for more pressure and new batteries. Could be some gunk from my pex pipe my have clogged something up, I don't know. Anyway I got a propane tank type hot water heater, just the tank that I made a cob oven type base and used the tank as the flue plus most of the tank sticking up and will be painted black, it sits in the sun most of the day. Most of this is not shown in the video, probably later if anyone is interested.

Anyway, I thought this was a pretty good idea, I think its better than a cheapy from a big box store. It's relatively cheap to build, durable, plenty big enough even for two (got to conserve that water, lol) and I think it has the elegance of a Japanese paper wall but I kinda ruined that effect when I painted it white to reflect the suns uv rays but if it were inside that would not be needed. When I am fumbling around with the trim in the video before I painted it you can see how good it looks. I also made the trim out of flattened pvc pipe that I then sawed the edge off and stained to simulate woodtrim. I have a video on a plastic barrel canoe that I came up with the idea of flattening the pvc to make the ribs. Link to canoe build

I hope you enjoy my video and a big thanks to all who watch it, if you like my video please support my channel by subscribing and don't forget to hit the bell icon for future uploads.

Yes Weedygarden I had the idea to make one of these some time ago and then awhile back saw these very pictures on pintrest I think but I couldn't find a video on how to make one so I made a video, although a poor one. I lost a lot of footage and had trouble getting it edited and loaded up on youtube, I'm kind of an idiot but I got it up. It needed to be shorter anyway.
Thanks for watching.

Hi William, I watched your video, as I think I do all of them. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the video or your shower. I actually think this idea is a great one and it is good to see that people are actually working with this idea.

I love the TCMT heaters, I have an 18L for my house. The only thing I didn't like is that the vent is just off for most pipes ...it's like 4.2 inches.
Nice build, now my wife wants an outdoor shower... :)

Sorry about that TBob, din't aim to get you into a project, lol. I am having problems getting it heat, the heater clicks but just will not come on despite trying several tricks and suggestions. Haven't had too much time to mess with it though.

Thanks for watching, glad you liked it.

The water pressure has to be at a certain pressure before the heater will ignite.

Thank you Sheepdog but I already tried that 2 times, first I put a 12 volt pump on with 2.5 gpm flow rate, the I took it home and hooked it to my garden hose with 40 lbs of pressure and still no results. I also increased the size of my gas line. I'm useing a 30 lb tank that has just been filled. Also tried to adjust the flow on the heater itself. New batteries as well. I'm thinking maybe could be the sparking device could be messed up.
Anyway its three hours away, I forgot to bring it home o will b a cuple of weeks before we get back down there to mess with it.

not trying to be rude and maybe the 18L is different that the 10L but is this switch on and batteries in?
