Been very warm here with the highs in the low to mid 80's everyday. Lows in the upper 40's. Every day in the afternoon it threatens rain and most days we do get a few drops but not enough to wet the ground. Still very dry. Our average rainfall for July is 4" and so far we have gotten less than one inch.

91* feels like 97*
49%humidity
Wind is 13 mph SSW
Barometric pressure is dropping at 29.82
Might get some rain on Sunday (40% chance)
Heat index until Saturday will reach 105-110 if not higher every afternoon.
We are under Excessive Heat Warning issued 18 July at 1402 hours CTD until 20 July @2000 hours CTD.

Yesterday! I understand it was actually 101, but I never saw that reading.
How hot was it today.jpg

Scattered darkness with 100% chance of mosquitoes. From what I've seen, it looks like most of us will be in the grips of a heat wave this coming weekend.
Yes, but we are supposed to be a little cooler this weekend that we were for the last couple days. High of 88 today, low of 62, tomorrow high 83, low of 61. Beats the 90's we've been experiencing.

We are under excessive Heat Warning until 2000 hours tonight.
Getting ready to crack the windows in car to let out excess heat now.
Will put up sunscreen on windshield too.
Suppose to hit 96* low tonight will be 81*
73% humidity
Wind 5 mph SSE
Barometric pressure hold steady at the moment at 29.87
10 mile visibilty
Dew point is 70*
UV Index 10 very high
Going to be a scorcher again today.

I got in from work about 430 yesterday, it started raining shortly after that. For most part rained hard all night and at 6 this morning when I left for work still raining. I dumped 3.45" from my gauge. Wife said it rained until near noon. I looked at the gauge when I came in and had another .78". Never got out of the 70's, down to upper 50's tonight and dew point about 50. Next few days in 70s & low 80s. Gonna be awesome.

We had a storm roll through last night. Lots of lightning. Over 3500 ground strike. Several fires started at least 2 houses burned. Rained hard for a little while.
This time of the year everything is bone dry and just waiting for something to start a fire. I live in an agricultural area so we are surrounded by farms and that means the fire danger is low here in the valley. Today was cooler but the heat is returning tomorrow. We are headed to my wife's family picnic on Saturday so it will be cool on the wet side of the Cascade Mountains.

Going to try to stay out of the heat today. This morning the weatherman predicted actual temps to be 102-105 today with a heat index of 112-115 (46.1 C). Heat stroke can happen in a blink in weather like this.

Good news... possible rain tonight as a front moves through. Temps should be back in double digits tomorrow with lower humidity.

Heat Index here yesterday was 108 - 112, be the same today. Actual temp predicted for today is 94.

Looks like our members up in TN are getting lots of rain this evening. It's supposed to hit me later but I don't think it'll get this far. If the rain holds out maybe by 10pm or midnight...

It was brutal out there this afternoon (had a Dr. appointment). Ran a couple of errands afterwards and all I wanted was to find a nice cold creek and lay in it!

Hit a small rain shower on the way home and the temp dropped almost 25 degrees in a mile.

It hit 93 today, was suppose to be 97 with a HI of 108. Storms rolled in about 12:30 clouded up and dumped a bunch of rain at work. Temps dropped 20 degrees in half an hour or so. At the house we didn't get much rain, but it stayed cloudy all afternoon and never went back above 85. We finally got a good shower tonight. Got us while we were out pickin maters and okra. Hope in rains for a while. But not likely, cells are moving pretty fast. They'll be in NC by midnight.
