@Peanut how stressful! That is so messed up to think you could have been treated for something you don't have. I suppose if you would have been really elderly they may have gotten away with being wrong. I tend to think the elderly aren't really watched out for sometimes. Be glad you're a youngster. If you're not quite 60 then you're still a young 'un.
@Sewingcreations15 and @Meerkat I hope the best possible outcome for you both. One of my sisters is very fair skinned and still blonde and has had many skin cancers.

Thanks you Patch, :huggs:

.
It gets worse when insurance companies get involved. Years ago I was going through some battles after a motor vehicle accident. The insurance company wanted to set up a gynaecologist appointment, the problem is I am a male (not just self Identified, I was born with those parts intact). Fortunately it got resolved after some arguing before I had to go for the appointment
I would have went to the appointment and raised hell if they didn't examine me. Think about how much fun that would be.

I thought about it but knew it would embarrass my wife so I opted to behave and sort it out before hand

OMG @backlash I had to read hubby the posts - we are cracking up. Too funny!
@Sewingcreations15 Big prayers my dear - I bet you are marking the days. Hope it's all worth it and no further issues.

My rant for the day seems petty. I bought a pair of shoes for work. Mind you they don't make work boots for women. I found a pair of leather (probably "leatherette ") tennis shoes. I wore them 2 days and was so crippled I could hardly walk. I am going to try taking them back - yes worn for two days but they should be sold as some sort of torture device not as shoes. I found a pair today of $140 high-top style shoes that are a good brand so hopefully they won't kill me. They look like transformer shoes but oh well. Do they think women don't work? Or maybe just small footed women? By the way, I don't like pink. Women's shoes do not need to be pink, nor does the stitching on women's camo! Grrrr. I almost bought a pair of men's boots, but the smallest size was 7. Have I mentioned I don't like shoe shopping?
Whew! Thanks y'all.

I am more of a problem solver than one to rant, but here's a rant anyway:

I am shaving my head this weekend with an electric razor and it dies. No saving it, the motor is burned out. 3 years old and headed for the trash. I used my last one for 18 years before it gave out. It's replacement did not fair nearly as well. I tire of everything made today being so cheap and chintzy. I would pay double for a high quality razor that was going to last.

I can fix that for you Sentry, real easy! Just quit shaving. It's worked for me for 40 years. :ghostly:

I use a good old fashioned safety razor. Bought online, blades are cheap and keep forever. I also recently bought a straight razor that uses 1/2 of a safety razor blade rather than a fixed blade. I haven't quite got the knack and try it only on days when I have a steady hand. I buy my stuff from Fendirhan.com its a Canadian outfit but I'm sure there are plenty of US outfits like it. I keep one razor in my bathroom and one in my travel bag along with plenty of blades. Never have to worry about batteries or electricity. I also keep a atypic pencil handy for the odd knick when my hands are shaky.

I got the shaky hands too, at times.
I use the generic version of BIC/Gillette twin-blade that comes in a 12-pack at about 30-cents each, at Wallyworld or Target.
I get about 3 months out of each one (I only do my face) which comes out to about $1.20 per year.
A 12-pack lasts me about 3 years:eek:.
I do have have to be careful the first few times I break in a new one.
You don't need to overthink this.

My razor doesn't touch my face, it shaves my head. Not to the skin but as close as one can get without using a blade.

I use and entirely different electric razor on my face. Which is just as cheap and chintzy. I would use a blade but I am one of those people that with extremely sensitive skin that is prone to bumps and ingrown hairs.

After you cut those bumps and I grown hairs off a few dozen times they stop being a problem :)

Like Sentry18, I for some reason have sensitive facial skin...,

If I use a blade of any kind on my beautiful mug...I get all red and blotchy. Wife says it is Rosacea.
I dunno why, but I quit the blades a few years ago and no more problems,

Except the constant clean up at my station in our bathroom from trimming 2-3 times a week.

I could keep it shorter but wife says long ( I think she just wants my mug hidden)...
it may go to the floor..already longer than the avatar.

How's the pay for Santa?:merrychristmassanta:

Keep it long. It goes well with the bib overalls...:D

My memory ain't what it use to be....but I believe there's a thread on them bibs.

Jim
There is, but I'm not sure it's here. Might be back at RT. Either way, it makes for a great Hatfield's and McCoys look. Especially with an exposed hammer side-by-side 12 guage in your hands...

@LadyLocust there are definitely some good options for women's work shoes and boots. I'm not sure what type you need, but around me the larger farm stores carry several high quality brands like Keen and Red Wing that have women's sizes. If it's a tennis shoe type that you need, nurse's shoes are a good choice...

My feet are difficult to fit right. I hate show shopping too. I've found that "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to shoes...

One other thing you might try is hiking or trail shoes. I wear North Face shoes and am very, very happy with them. They are light and tough. (I've had one pair for over two years now and they're worn, but still serviceable.) Most trail shoes have a full range of women's sizes.

So my girlfriend goes out to talk with my neighbor whom we have been friends with for the last 5 years, and immediately starts blasting Trump, and why he has those poor kids in Nazi Concentration Camps. My G/F said she was busy and would love to talk, but politics are an individual choice, and everyone has a right to their opinions. The neighbor continued on and on, then when my G/F said if a parent goes to jail, do they bring in their kids into the cell with them. Well, the lady continued, accused my G/F of only watching FOX news, and did not like when she said she watches news of all kinds. It then became heated, called her a Trumpster, and walked away saying she will never talk to her again. I was present to listen to most of the conversation, but only listened, as to not rile up that witch any more than she was. Well, she stormed off, and we were stuck wondering why the sagebrush got into her panties. I guess me flying my American flag for 5 years has sent her over the edge. Funny thing is her husband is a retired Marine. Oh well.....

Hubby uses dog groomer thing on his head. Its worked for 20 years. Maybe check in the pet section for a good razor? PETA takes good care of its animals and watches product lines.

People go off the deep end about politics. One of my best friends is extremely liberal. I am not. We respect that we have opposing views and rarely discuss them unless it's about the points upon which we share common ground...and our friendship works well...

Anti-Trumpers often seem to believe they have a right to go off on anyone at any time. It seems to be a belief of moral superiority. I suppose, if one were to look at it from an opposing view, it would be much like a church group standing outside a gay rights rally and shouting at the people there. Point being, the personal attacks do little good. Having a reasonable conversation works better, but that's difficult, as it requires two sets of open ears...and getting two sets of open ears in the same place is damn near impossible these days...

We make it a policy to not discuss politics with neighbors. Her going off like that just tells me she is desperate. I just hate having to ignore them from this point on. I would even clean up the hedge on their side, mow their lawns when on vacation, put their newspapers away when they go away. No more. I'm done, and she caused it.

Just make sure minds not so open your brains fall out. I think most libs had a self made labotomy.

Lol open ears means listening, not conforming...other people's opinions don't offend me, when stated reasonably. I get offended when the others are a**holes about their opinions and act as though they have a moral superiority.

Good grief. Sounds like you might need to buy a red, white, and blue spot light and point them at her house. :D

I just had to sit in a meeting earlier this week listening to this woman drone on and one about how Michelle Obama was "her queen" and the "greatest public figure of our time". But it wasn't enough for her to push her opinion, she wanted people to agree with her. So she kept asking "Don't you agree? Well, don't you?". I finally said that I feel the same way about Michelle Obama that I feel about tampons, they are so completely irrelevant to me so I often forget they exist.
