In a cabin, on a mountain, in "Wilderness" Alaska.
Got my Federal "Subsistence" Permits tonight. It is a very sweet deal, and it is all FREE, my favorite price. Subsistence Bull Moose, Subsistence Caribou, Subsistence Salmon (with a dip net). Subsistence Trapping, free hunting-fishing-trapping license. And they will come to your cabin, and do the paperwork.

Is America wonderful, is Alaska living as good as it gets.....???

92 degrees today and not a cloud to be seen.

And I get to eat a different Beaver everyday. I choose not to, but I can harvest one Beaver per day, and must utilize the pelt or the meat.

No specials for me. Instead here the residents pay very large prices for hunting licenses and any big game is a lottery draw with very poor odds of winning.:(
It costs $15 just to apply for a license and if there is a miracle and you get drawn then you pay the big price for the actual license.

Congrates VirginP.
Down here in Florida we get free fishing license after 65.

Are you limited on the moose? I understand where you live you may need to eat moose.
I watched a video on the forum here of a moose being taken down and decided I'd never eat it again unless I was starving or living where it was necessary to eat it. I've had moose steak and moose burgers. Very tasty.

They're clumsy looking, but they're still a majestic creature. Not a dime a dozen like white tail deer.
