As this thread has shown, actual Go-funds can be buried by the fun go-funds and the scam go-funds, etc. So, we are not going to allow the go-fund-me links. If you are having issues, your friends can send you a message offering to help. Not someone with a go fund sending out private messages soliciting help.
I know some will not like this, but many will understand.

I hope your dog gets the help he needs and if anyone wants to help you ( and I expect some will do so) they can send you a message and you can give them the information.

@Angie as you pointed out..As this thread has shown, actual Go-funds can be buried by the fun.among the other thing's that go with go fund me account's. because of this.no problem in not allowing direct links being posted in a post in the diff board's. and as everyone can see.this avoided issue's. and that's why I asked 1st.to avoid issue's.

JimLE, there are many things we don't know about each other on here. I wonder if there might be some kind of side work you could do to get some extra money to cover these expenses? In my area, people who are looking for Christmas money or are needing money for unexpected expenses look for side jobs such as shoveling snow, raking leaves, mowing lawns, doing yard work. I have no idea what kind of work you do. Have you looked for something to do that could help with these expenses? What kind of side work could you do?

I've thought of the small odd jobs.but their far and inbetween.in a small town their scarce..but yet i am doing what i can.like driving a handful of folks here n there.i even learned that i can take cash money to walmart service center and add money to my paypal account that way.but only as long as i have a Paypal debt card.

I’ll tell you what you could try. See if you could be a relief adult sitter. Even for a few hours here and there. Have a minimum number of hours for a flat rate.
I know from being with my Mom too much, and no one in family having time. A reasonable charge may give you more work than you want. And it may be nothing more than being there “in case of”.

It is interesting that odd jobs are far and in between. I know the farm communities in South Dakota have a hard time finding anyone to help out. Restaurants cannot find enough staff to stay open for 3 meals a day. I am talking about many communities that I am familiar with. Farmers need help working hogs and cattle, bringing in the harvest. My 84 year old cousin gets asked to help every year. Another cousin who retired recently told me he will be busy because people around him can't find help for odd jobs. People need help with all kinds of odd jobs and the older people get to drive trucks and other jobs where an extra person can make a big difference. Sometimes, if they can't find help, the wife gets drawn in. Maybe it is their connections to their community and people's awareness of their work ethic.

Many people need help during the Christmas season. People want to travel but need someone to feed and water animals, tend to things. Personally, I could be very busy during this season. I have some work, but have limited it.

Thanks entry, I just had found it. It's a lot bigger than I initially thought. First look it sure looked like someone went crazy in the shop with an old bobcat... I see it's a mere $119K... maybe next payday...lol

How is it going with coming up with funds for your dog? Did you start a fund? If so, did you get any contributions? Have you found any ways to come up with funding for your dog's surgery?

I just saw this and am wondering about this, relative to what could happen for any of us. I am curious, if you were to do some work to come up with money, what kind of work would it be? What kind of work have you done? Are you living in a community you grew up in, or not, so you might have some connections? Why live in that community and not somewhere else where you might be able to find work? Are you of retirement age? I know none of this is my business, but my guess is that I am not alone in my curiosity about your situation, without breaking OPSEC. Do you have any family members who might be able to help you out?

i had started the gofundme before even posting here.one donation so far..

Are you living in a community you grew up in?..no im not.and in some ways.still a newbie here.

Why live in that community and not somewhere else where you might be able to find work? cant afford to move.

. Do you have any family members who might be able to help you out? best way i know how to put it.might as well not have any family.

What skills do you have you might be able to monetize thru some side hustles? Can you do mechanic work? If so some shade tree work like oil changes, brake jobs, etc Can you do carpentry? If so handymen are often in high demand. Pool cleaning, if you know how to do this with some simple equipment and often the homeowner has the things you can make some good repeat money. Crafts - things you can make and sell at local craft shows, markets, etc... Online can you get into selling things local to you thru sites like Craigslist, Facebook Market, Backdoor also eBay still works pretty well too.

I'm just throwing out ideas. Keep positive. Ask yourself how can I do this and it'll help your brain get in motion. Have you talked with any local animal shelters to see if they know of any local organizations that can help or even vets they knw that might be able to offer discounts. Until you ask, you don't know. And what does asking hurt?

You will never know of any potential work if you don't go around and talk to people, letting them know what you can and would be willing to do, leaving your contact information with them. I get hit up with people wanting to do yard work, shovel snow, etc.

Family? Do you have siblings? Do you have any family who live close to you? Who are you closest to in your family?

I've let at least some folks know of some things that i can and will do.I've also done some things for folks here n there.but yet.that is slow going.and very little incone because of it.

Have you checked to see if there are any jobs like pizza or food delivery driver or if your close enough to a decent size town Uber or Lyft. Even a few months at something like that on nights and weekends should fetch some decent extra $$ and still let you work your day job.

Why don't you tell us what you have tried so far....

We can throw ideas out for another month but you have to try them and do them. So if this is a priority to you, what things have you done in the last 30 days? It's a month yesterday since your OP so I hope your not just waiting and hoping for the generosity of others.

delivery and uber is out.on account the car need's some work.

edit.but can drive to a job and park it while at work then back home.

What about care dot com? There are frequently positions listed for wherever you live, taking care of animals and or people, temporary, permanent, full time, part time.

Also consider if you or someone in your household is a good baker, pickler, etc. and makes really good breads, cakes, cookies, etc.
Things like that can be sold, depending on your state's laws, from the home, roadside stand, if you live on a farm, at farmer's markets, etc.
