Ok , enough is enough.

This has been going on for at least 4 weeks almost non stop
Daily rain in inches
Another record today.

Everything is standing in water , you have to spread the pic to really see it.
From my front porch.

Dad has really gone down hill the past week… Today they inserted a feeding tube directly into his stomach… :( He just wasn’t eating, they had to do something…

A quiet day for me, kept an eye on the sump pump all day, no issue so far. Lite showers continue off and on. I’m unsure if I’m going down to stay with dad all night. Mom said he sleeping like a rock from the sedation of the procedure. Maybe I’ll go down… Have to be there before 9pm when the front door is locked. After that I have to go through the ER and get a pass. I don’t want to drag a cot and blanket through the metal detector. All the security people know me at this point, just a pain if I don’t get there before 9.

At 6:30pm I’ll know if there is a sitter… I’ll decide then.
Prayers Peanut.

Just sitting here crocheting a green and blue baby hat.
It's number 7.
Will be starting baby receiving blankets this weekend to match part of the hats.
Also will be making receiving blankets out of flannel{kittens in pj's, frogs surfing} to go along with baby hats for the local Mennonite Church mission.
I'll see you all in a few days, got some stuff coming up, need to take care of business.

The front is moments away. It's supposed to be windy, possible tornadoes, lots and lots of rain. I checked the fuel in the generator, about 4 gallons in the tank. 30 gallons in the rotation cans in the shop so I'm set for fuel, about 2 days worth.

I warmed up a big bowl of chili, made a salad for supper. There is plenty of fruit for evening snacks.

Fingers crossed there is no damaging weather this evening...

Mom has been with dad all day. She decided she's going to stay overnight. Probably not the best decision but she's worried about the storms.

I'll check in during the evening...

Had a little trouble today or at least Jake did. The intermediate school bully decided to try Jake out in the hall this afternoon by slapping him. Jake is only 11 years old but he is already way more man than boy its been a personal goal of mine to teach him to protect himself since he could walk. So from what I understand between classes this kid ran up and jumped up in the air and slapped Jake. The teacher said it was unbelievable how fast Jake took him out he said it was like he knew what he was doing. I was expecting this to be a lot worse than it was the other kid got suspended for a week and Jake walked. The teacher actually said he would give him a character award if he could.

@Spikedriver At least you remembered where you left it! Glad it was safe.
@hashbrown I for one think that's awesome. If more idiots got a sock in the mouth for being *~holes! there would probably be far fewer around. If more folks (kids included) stood up for themselves and delivered consequences, might have a much nicer society. Good job Dad.

Today at work I decided enough is enough. I went to the dollar store and got a ton of the fake Tupperware containers. Went back to the shop and put all the fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, washers etc) in them. We get them in bulk so some come in sealed plastic bags that get ripped open, or boxes that get wet or crushed and you can't see through, or blah blah blah. They are now in containers with lids so will stay dry. You can see through them to find what is needed. They all stack nicely rather than a pile of miscellany. If one breaks, we are out 25c-50c. So much nicer. Also went through the tool bags and found about 2 dozen bits - they can never find and want me to buy more o_O. And all batteries for portable drills, saws-all etc. are on chargers. Next up the glove issue: stay tuned.

Good job dad!

Thought I would check in and say that building an ark has been a serious consideration with the flood water around here but we are safe and no water got into the home. We managed to get out of town on the one road that was not flooded yesterday to order pipes for the yard flood mitigation down to the creek and they should arrive today in JOKE some sort of amphibious mode of transport. The lower levels of town are not doing as well as us with I would say knee deep and higher water in their yards but fortunately their homes are on stumps we were only ankle deep here.

What we have been up to in no particular order as it is a blur is digging rainwater ditches deeper and DH managed to get most of the water to drain from around the home and back patio. The rain has stopped temporarily but they say more is on the way. I diverted the water overflowing from the rainwater tank pool that is near the patio and was overflowing to the lawn causing more problems with a piece of high pressure pvc pipe with one of our 30 metre grey water hoses plugged into the end of it through a piece of pvc 90mm pipe leaning on the laundry trolley to get the right angle for draining and ran it up further up the yard. It worked beautifully.

Got to town yesterday for DH's doctors appointment to cut out two suspected skin cancers he had and they have sent them away to have a biopsy done. Last night I ordered some groceries online to pick up tomorrow we had used and stocked up a bit on others for the food storage room. One day DH whipper snipped between the vegetable garden beds and I weeded 3 garden beds. Oh did I tell you one of the above ground garden beds is sinking like the Titanic so we will have to pull that out and prop it with more soil at one end and half of the vegetable patches went underwater.

Our home cash emergency kitty has taken a battering of over half we spent on drainage pipe, elbows, grates, storm water pits and so on and we paid cash for it all. This is after all an unseen emergency being our block is so flat.

So far this morning I am sitting down doing what was needed most and just doing nothing and drinking hot chocolate and browsing the internet.

I basically just fast read and glamced through the post to see if all are ok, will be back God WIlling when not so much going on.
I did see this today while reeraching some things and I always liked his and philosphy.

Yall take care and thanks for being my firend. :huggs:

Wow @Sewingcreations15 seems lots of water around here. We had flash flooding around here. Many bridges and roads completely gone, you and your ark adventure, and I think Jim (@phideaux ) might be growing gills. Stay safe and dry.
Personally I hope this is not I should expect in the Spring.
Some areas are still under water from last Spring flooding.

Still have 3 bathrooms torn up, and now a kitchen. The head workguy hired the plumber, but needs to fire him. He asked me today if I would talk to him. I told him that was his job. He talked to the guy about working slow and coming by 4 hours late, and said he would have it together tomorrow. Electrician was by working on some outlets that went out. Unfortunately, he had to remove a kitchen cupboard, and take out a few wall sections to find the short. Fortunately, they hadn't tiled yet. Went to Lowes for more tile and a new sink. We are washing dishes in the garage in a laundry sink. Made dinner in the crockpot and an electric hotplate. The front room is filled with building supplies. Husband says he's going into work tomorrow. Ha Ha. He just wants to escape. He went to two appts today and out to lunch.

The national weather service just dropped all the severe weather watches and warnings, good. Lots of rain still on the way so I'll be up until the wee hours checking the sump pump. I bought some movies during my extra long wait for a prescription the other day so good to go for something to watch.

A little history... for about a 10 year period much the south was below our yearly average rainfall. I'm not going to complain too much about all the rain since last summer.

Gonna drop off wife at Church for ladies Bible study.
I'll be setting around the upholstery shop with Eddie, and hopefully he can repair the worn leather on my center armrest of new toy.

Then pick up wife and go to big town , Hobby Lobby, my least favorite store. They have the slowest check out of any store.
Then lunch....somewhere.

Then home to prepare for the deep freeze temps overnite.
It finally stopped raining.

When we had this house built there was a problem with a sub-contractor. My Contractor started making excuses so I told Contractor I didn't want to hear it, deal with the sub, that's what I'm paying you for.

@Amish Heart I missed the part about g.daughter's money. Having bathrooms and kitchen all torn up at the same time is the worst. Back when we remodeled a kitchen, that was the pits! I hope something gets improved quickly and put back together. Plus all the dust from construction and destruction makes it hard too.
@MoBookworm1957 I hope Strawberry settles down. Sorry to hear your recovery isn't going so quick, plus the pain meds allergy. :huggs:
@Sewingcreations15 I get tired reading your updates. You are a hard working pair. No injuries, please.
@Peanut :

I've got work later. Still trying to get caught up on various projects, repairs, hauling stuff away, figuring out what to do about transportation.
