You @Meerkat , you go slow and easy for a while, then you'll be able to go full throttle later.

Just take care.

I'm resting at home now, this fever and sinus infection thing bout kicked my butt.
Few years ago I wouldn't even paid no attention.

Ageing ain't that easy.

Jim

I will Jim and you do the same. Aolo agree with the ageing thing. It snunk up on me when I wasn't looking. :ghostly:.

One good thing came out of today's adventure

I can as an eligible VA patient go to the big Baptist Health hospital for 3 urgent care visits a year. No waiting, went right in , answered a few questions about what was wrong, seen a nurse for taking my vitals, did the stick test for flu and strep.
Doctor came in examined me, we talked he determined it was sinusitis, sinus infection, prescribed Augmentin, we left.

VA covered it all.

So any of you vets , check to see if your eligible here...
833-483-8669.

Worth it for when you just need an antibiotic for the flu or a cold.

VA don't let us know about new programs ...I would have went Monday.

Thats great Jim. Glad you got closer to home at least for some things.

Meerkat, Jim, Backpacker and anyone else feeling under the weather.
Try to get healthy soon.

You too Mo ,
You gotta get them knees to normalize.
My surgeon told me that inflammation would lower by 25% every 3 months , should be gone in one year.
That is looking to be on schedule for me.
First knee is ,6 months and great, but still warm. To he second knee is 3 months and still hot.

Both are great , still little tender.

Left knee was done 2 years ago 5 July. Not warm or hot, just swelling.
Right knee is tender, tight, and swelling.
Most days do pretty good, just not when cold, damp, rainy like now.
Walked little more than a half mile today.
Did that yesterday too.
But nowhere close to 5 k in March.
Average about 1500 to 3000 steps inside my place.
Course Strawberry walks with me everywhere pretty much.
Just keep plugging away with exercises, walking.

MoBook hope you heal totally and soon. Didn't realize knees were still tha sore. Get well soon.:huggs:

You will.
I don't care much for Wednesdays, either, Patchouli. I used to like them, my weekly grocery sale shopping. A little different now. Husband works two days a week, but the two days vary. The other days, he packs with appointments. I can't leave the house at all with workers here. Husband is at work today. Tomorrow he has a filling, then said he'd be home and wants lunch. Then off to rehab for the afternoon. Granddaughter's bus gets in at 12:30 on Wednesdays. 3:50 on other days. I have to be home for that. Friday he says he's having lunch with our daughter, then off to rehab. Hmmm. Well, I do have a lot of painting to do. Finished painting the toilet room in our bathroom yesterday, two coats. And two doors and some baseboard. Plan to do more this afternoon.

When you get done painting come do mine!!

Been a long day.
I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day.

I'm llergic to contrast dye so had to have them to counter reaction.
Not sure of the type study you needed contrast dye for but... There are two basic kinds of dye used for CT's and MRI's. The cheap stuff they give most people contains iodine. The really expensive dye doesn't. Many people including me are sensitive (not allergic) to the cheap stuff with iodine. It makes me feel like crap afterwards. You might ask if the contrast dye they are giving you contains iodine and request the contrast without it.:)

Other family is staying with dad tonight. I needed a night off, so to speak. I’m sitting up watching storm clouds. Rains should start about 2am. The worst should be over by five. I’ll crash after that. Till then just watching movies on the tube.

Good morning folks,

Hope all is well and good for you today.

My fever is gone for now. Therefore I feel some better.

It will take a few days for the sinus infection to clear up.

It's still cold here , cloudy,
Don't want to do anything today.

So.......I wont.:D

Get some rest @Peanut ,
@Meerkat you take it easy and slow.
@MoBookworm1957 take it easy on those knees.

Y'all all stay well.

Jim

Jim, glad you're feeling better.
Knees are going to swell for a while no matter what I do.
So today, I'm not doing anything.
Sitting in my recliner, knee elevated, iced.
Only getting for when nature calls me or Strawberry long enough to cook something to eat.
Plan on napping, playing a game or two of Mah Jong,
Reading forums, crocheting.
Pulled out of 5 k in March, not ready physically.
Sun's out but windy, chilly.
You know doing all that boring stuff retiree's with bad joints do.

and taking my daughter to dance practice...

My little one has dance on Thursdays too. I like to sit in the lobby and listen to the Moms. It's like a soap opera of trash talk, complaining, and self pity. :D

Going to stay with dad tonight. I have to eat supper and get ready here in a few minutes. It's going to be cold, near or below freezing the next 3 nights. I'll take my new book for something to read. I have to repair a reclining camp chair I left down there a couple of nights ago, taking a spool of 550 paracord for the job. The 10yrold chair is fine, no rust, cushions are good. The lacing at the edge of the cushions broke yesterday, dry rot. I'll re-lace it tonight. It's a really comfy camp recliner, worth repairing.

Mine is a dark green, not camo... pic

I got to get out of the house today for a little while. Husband was home for 2 hrs in between the stuff he has to do. So, went to Lowes (twice, two different locations) for more stuff the workguys were short of. Went to the day old bakery store, the Kroger Store, and to pick up the mail. One of the Lowes had a big display when you walked in of some N95 masks (they had a dz left), bleach, antibacterial cleaners. Got a few more masks.
