I go back to the other forum because of the quilting friends I made there.
But I found out today a majority of my quilting friends are here too under different names.
But even some the loyal members from there aren't there anymore.
You finally get tired of being belittled all the time.
I will miss some of my friends from there, but probably won't be going back.
Definately won't be renewing membership.
Frankly get tired of all the DRAMA,NAME CALLING etc.

Please feel free to invite your friends here for sewing. I would love to participate more as that was my nitch there. I'm not sure the a link to here will work there, but you could spell it out with a space before and after the dot com or such.
I would LOVE to see the sewing / craft area get more active. I need to get some more sewing done as soon as I can get folks stuff settled, etc.

Just checking in. B&B season finally winding down this week. Hope to be here regularly again soon. Missed y’all

This will be great. I bet you have some stories to tell about running a B&B.

Most everybody is here under different names.
At least some of the quilters are, but beings I don't their permission to share their new names with you.
Hope you understand I won't share the information.
As for the link I don't know if it will work or not.
This is why I kept the same name for both forums.
I hope to be sewing soon.
It's been right at 18 months since I have done any sewing for myself.
Besides the fact I tore up and emptied out the sewing room/craft room.
But slowly getting it put back together..

I miss people that used to hang out here.
My music jammin' buddies.
Venom Jockey
Caribou
Gumpy
Tiffanysgallery
Plenty of others
Hooch
Grizzleyette___adams

Thank you for thinking of me! I apologize for not being as active as much I want to be.

When the dust finally settles, I will be posting a series of thought-provoking posts for the disaster prep section...It will deal with many deep facets of survival, approached from an unusual angle... haha, after that, y'all will probably wish I would just shut up, lol.

Hint: "Backup plan for the backups: Plan F"

You are doing right in keeping confidence. If others from there don't want me to know or others to know that's okay. I do know a few of them by both names, so that's good also. I'm glad you kept the name on both place so as to be a familiar person to gather with.

I think that will be great to have posts like that. I need to slow down and put a few posts there about surviving just day to day when family pulls you everywhichaway.

It’s pretty unexciting stuff. Nice people from around the world I. The midst of their holidays, staying with us a couple of days. It’s fun, we meet nice people but not a lot of stories. Fun type of work, lost pay ) if you figure your true hourly rate) but the cash flow helps pay the bills.

I'll be MIA for a few days... My great nephew finally has time to help me with some long delayed home renovations. So, I'll be disassembling my computer/mini-office later tonight.

I'm finally getting my new flooring put down. All the furniture has to go! :)

I've done that with rooms in my house: completely cleaned them out and depending what it needed, been unable to use the room for months. I've never been without the old computer though!

What kind of flooring are you going to put in?

@Weedygarden I'm putting down laminate flooring in almost 3/4 of my living spaces, kitchen, livingroom, main hallway etc.

I actually bought the flooring on sale, new years day last Jan. I was waiting for cold weather to be over to put it down. I planned to put most of my furniture on the front porch. We were still getting freeze warnings in late April...

I waited about 6 more weeks on my great nephew to get a couple of days when he could help... he never got time... By then my cataracts were so bad I no longer trusted my self to do it... After all... I almost sliced off my thumb cutting a watermelon in Aug.

1st eye surgery over 3 weeks ago... nephew free, farming season is over... Whats the old sayin'? Best laid plans of mice and men?

I've only waited 10 months and 12 days... :( at least it's finally getting done... Its raining and cold so no furniture on the front porch. It means putting the flooring down in sections and moving furniture and major appliances back and forth... A little more complicated but I have a solid plan.

That is a big project. Best to you!
