I inherited my mom's car when she passed away.it's a 2008 kia rondo.it needs used or new tires.also needs new plugs and brake pads on the front.it'll be in great shape after that.i have the title to it.which is still in mom's name.but no issue.i have her will.in which she was clear that the car be left to me.

Im looking for older and dependable truck.that's $3000.00 or less.aint worryed about ac as long as it has heat.i prefer a standard.but will go with automatic.

Good luck Jim. Depending on how bad current tires are, it might be worth the $ to get a set of used ones before you sell it. Probly more than get your funds back and make a quicker sell.
What kind of truck are you looking for, full size, mid, or more like a toyota o ranger class.? If you dont need a full size, older Toyotas are good trucks. Ive had several over the years and have found them cheap on fuel for a truck, dependable, easy maintenace for what little you have to do. All of mine have had 200,000 plus miles on them and very lowbcost for repairs.

Id rather have full size simply because I can do more with one, compared to mid and compact size.but will settle with one of the other sizes.your correct about the smaller ones getting better mileage. Especilly the one's with a standard transmission. Plus i can change all of the plugs in older ones seeing how the engines dont sit sideways. Lol

Ballpark, where are you located? Is 4-wheel drive required?
IMHO, your best bet to get things going is to go to Craigslist for your area and fill in the blanks for your search criteria. (e.g. under "Model", enter Silverado and for "Max price", specify 3000). That'll give you an idea of what you'll get in that price range.
Where I live, pretty much everyone has at least 1 truck so they're always in high demand. For $3000, you may find one that runs but it's unlikely it'll pass inspection without some significant work.
