I had an anemic goat a few weeks past. I have not found the Red Cell sold in our area and so called my vet to ask. He said they quite making it. What I found at TS was something for baby pigs called Anem-X 100. It is a for iron deficiency. Sissy weighs probably around 40 lbs so I ended up injecting her with 1 1/2 cc. I had planned on doing this a week later and then in another week, but it only took that one and she has been good since. I was just wondering what anyone else has found that works good.
 
I've heard that you have to be careful not to give too much redcell.

I have used this mixture for a goat that is down. I would guess it will build red cells as well as give quick energy.

I'm looking in the Jeffers catalog I just got and they have 3 different iron supplements for pigs. 2 injectables and one paste.

They also have 2 for goats, including Red Cell.
 
Now I have to wonder if he started drinking again. I actually stopped going because I showed up at his office before he arrived. . . With his breakfast of a 6 pack. It had always been hard to understand him, and I had my suspicions, but had never known him to sound any other way. He had gotten hurt pretty bad a couple years back by a cow and quite drinking. Good to know Red Cell is still available.

Its on Amazon and in the new catalog. I haven't tried to order any though.
