Hey Mo!!!
I’m so happy that you got your sewing room done!!! I made myself go in mine today to start cleaning up from my sewing in the last 3 months....I got about half of it done before my shoulder and arm muscles gave out. I’ll be back in there tomorrow and hope to finish up. I am behind 3 farm block squares. Tom Turkey, Bessie the Cow, and Mrs. Cluckers. If I can finish up my sewing room tomorrow, I am going to start on them Monday. I think I’ll do Mrs. Cluckers first.

Mo & CoSunflower you two are amazing!! I need to get back to sewing.. I have only gotten part of my Husband's shirt cut out.. Ever since I've been here in AZ things have been wacky.. Rain!!, high winds, unexpected visitors, abscessed cracked tooth (finally had it pulled) so am hoping I can get back to sewing now that all of those interruptions are behind me!!! Yay!!

After I get Husbands shirt sewn I want to start back on Eleanor's blocks.. But you know what??!! I need to organize my sewing area in my tent!! How does this disorganization happen when you're NOT EVEN sewing?? Hmmmm.. Well today is the day I'm starting back to it..

You ladies have fun.. And oh, Mo I agree.. I hope we get a dog for our Farm Blocks too!!

My sewing area is ready but I'm not. Maybe this week.
It was beautiful here today, clear azure blue sky, low 60s, light breeze. This week will be chilly for us. I'm in north central Texas.
Don't force it Patchouli,
Otherwise you'll become overwhelmed.
Speaking from recent experience here.
Chilly is wind chill advisory we have today.
32mph NNW

It's official!
I'm still not going to be quilting or repairing quilts for any one else.
But myself.
Such a relief, haven't enjoyed it in the last several years.
Hence the big hugemongus purge in the sewing room.
Only things in there now are things that make me happy.
Took a pass on long arm quilting machine recently.
Besides didn't have the space for it, price was semi right.
It didn't feel right.

This month has really flown by! I've been working on other projects, had several doctor's appointments, had company and spent a few days just being lazy! I've gotten way behind on this and some other things so I've come up with a plan. Mondays will be my BOM day. If I spend one day a week working only on my BOMs, I can catch up and stay current. Yesterday I didn't get any sewing done but I cut out several blocks and I'm going to cut out a couple more today. If I have a nice stack of them ready to go next week, I should get a lot done. I'm hopin'. ;)

What do you think the next farm block will be? Since we've had several animals this last couple of months, it might be another pieced block. Now that we have a barn, I wonder if we'll get a farm house. We're halfway through with six more months to go so we there's time for lots of other things plus at some point I need to start working on the sashing. It would be nice to get my top together right after that last block is posted.

I have my chicken all cut out and ready to sew! I am so curious to see what tomorrow’s farm block will be too! I was wondering if we might get a windmill at some time? Now that Spring is on it’s way maybe a daffodil? How about a barn cat with kittens? A lamb? Now that all of my holiday projects are done and my sewing room cleaned up again, I’m hoping to get a farm block done each week and be caught up by time March’s block comes out!!!

My Husbands shirt is coming along nicely.. He has asked for metallic thread for topstitching.. We are going into town in the morning so will check with the little quilting shop to see if they have any.. Hope so as I DON'T want to drive to Phoenix to purchase it.. Blah!!

I've been looking at my little stash I have with me to see what I have to make the Fun on the Farm blocks. I do have enough for Tomas the Turkey & Bessie the Cow. So will start with those two.

Undecided about colors for Mrs. Cluckers. Kim I love your idea of a night time block. You are so clever!! I would've never thought of doing that.. :)

Looking forward to seeing what the next block will be. I'll definitely print it off for you Kim when I print mine.

Everyone keep well :)

I didn't get the Mrs. Clucker's kit because I didn't care for that light yellow nest so I have to choose some fabrics for that one. I'm hoping for a windmill, too, and I know she made a windmill block in the past. I'm telling myself to expect a pieced pattern this month and if that's what we get, it'll be nice, too, now that we've had some animals.

Wow! I didn't expect something like this at all and I love it!

Omgoodness!!! It is ADORABLE!!! And the funny thing is that last night I was reading an article about the feed sack clothes and reminiscing about the stories that my grandma told me about their feed sack clothes! She didn’t have and boughten fabric clothes until after she was married! She told me how they would bleach out the writing on the sacks so that the fabric would look nicer for dresses. I wish my grandma was still here so that I could show her this block!!!

I love it!
Am finishing a quilt top my Gram making for my middle niece when she died in 2010.
It's made with feed and flour sacks "French Braids", just got to finish adding the sashing, bat it, back it an bind it.
Have several of Granny's feed sack aprons for Estelle for in the future.
Those are going into her hope chest.
Along with Gram's feed sack pillow cases, table cloth.

Estelle and Strawberry are doing well.
Estelle is 18 months old.
Strawberry is now 4 years old.
Strawberry had birthday in December.
They play together.
Strawberry hasn't quite got the hugging part down pat yet.
Or maybe Estelle doesn't have the hugging part down quite yet.
She tries to hug Strawberry, but she squeezes to tight.
So when she squeezes too tight, Strawberry just gives her big old slurp.
That breaks the hold.
Estelle is 32.5 inches tall, Strawberry stretches out she's 33 inches long.
They weigh about the same too.
Strawberry is very protective of her.
Stays right by Estelle's side when they are outside together.
She tries to herd Estelle.
Much to Estelle chargin.
Started Estelle with yarn and chopsticks this week.
Hopefully she won't unravel anything else for Granny.

Omgoodness Mo!!! That little Estelle is growing like a weed! Sounds like she is going to be tall too! Strawberry sounds like a gem to be so patient and protective of HER little girl.❤️ I hope Estelle doesn’t unravel anymore of Granny’s work too!!! My little granddaughter Violet always liked to “help” me too and I would give her one of my bigger size J hooks and a little ball of yarn. She is 9 now and has her own special hook and likes to dig into my yarn stash. It helps her with her anxiety to crochet.

Wow, Maxine! That sunflower block is impressive! Our weather has been up and down the last couple of weeks but spring is hammering on the door.

And just in time for the spring plowing, Eleanor Burns has given us a tractor! I like that they're giving us a look at their block placement in the quilt. Can you believe we only have four more to go?

Hi Katie!
I’m almost done with the tractor. It’s been hard for me with all of the tiny parts. I hope it looks decent when I put them all together today!!! I love Matt the Sheep and think I already have the perfect fabric for his wool. He will make up fast and easily thank goodness!!! I am going to have to figure out how to take pics with my tablet so that I can show all of my blocks!!!
