    Does anyone here eat lamb?

    I raised lamb and we butchered 2 or 3/ year. When cooking lamb in the oven, trim as much fat as you can, season to your taste and add a 1/4 cup of apple cider to your pan. I like to grill lamb chops and shoulder steaks. Sprinkle garlic powder on them and use a vinegar based barbeque sauce.

    Cooking plans for this afternoon, sourdough cinnamon rolls for tomorrow's breakfast, garlic chicken, baked herb zucchini fries and cucumber onions in vinagrette. That's whats for supper here!

    I used to collect it, sold mine when got divorced. My mom still has her jadeite and she has a double collection of the blue ice cookware including 2 top and bottom roasters!

    Having grown up in a grain elevator (basically), i know at the farm level, part of government's subsidies program, guarantees farmers a minimum price for their crops. They must store their grain at home or an approved elevator until either the market reaches the price the government agreed upon...

    I used to put gallon jugs 2/3 full in freezer put it in where they lay. Always keep 1 in freezer to swap out.

    Been dividing up and repackaging the groceries I bought yesterday. Mixing and pattying the 10 pounds of ground beef for the freezer.

    I have to say the smell I miss the most is the 8x12 tack room at my previous farm. It was filled with 4 saddles, tons of bridles, and lots of leather scraps for repairs. I think it was a combination of leather and horse scents. So calming

    Heading to StL this morning for Dr appointment then pick up groceries on the way home, do a little cooking, then off to play gma at my great nieces volleyball game! (I know I'm not a Gramma but I am blessed with that title from my niece's daughters)!
