    Happy Birthday!

Thanks so much. Cake was creative & Singing Donkey was a hoot. Kids made me dinner & lit up a chocolate /raspberry cake for me with way too many candles!

Sweden: Citizens Being Given Prep Info for War With Russia

Sweden has begun to advise their citizens how to prepare for war. This came across my Facebook Feed, so I did a little digging. I found articles from 2016 and 2018. One set stated that the info WAS sent ... the other set of articles stated that the info WILL BE sent. So ... not sure if these May...

    Ghee, shelf stable butter

GREAT place to find Ghee (as briefly mentioned in a post above) is ethnic grocery stores! We have an Indian store near us, where I have seen ghee on a couple of shelves in different brands and sizes. I know I can ALWAYS go there and find ghee! (Off topic: also a GREAT source for Rice & beans in...

NorthEast friends - How is this storm effecting you?

We’re ready at our house! Winds are HUGE! I can’t remember it ever being this strong for so long. Almost consistently. Dogs are so on edge. Our back deck retractable awning has been banging against the house almost non-stop. We’ll have to have it inspected, this Spring, to make sure it’s...

Post A Photo, A Real Photo

Our son ... he's a professional soccer player. He's one of the team's goalies. This is preseason where they are vying for the #1, #2 & #3 spots. (Keeping our fingers crossed for #1 or #2 ... #3 means pretty much sitting on the bench for most, if not all the season) *I blacked out the name of the...

    Cheap Or Free Water Storage

   REALLY? I have NEVER heard of that before!

    Cheap Or Free Water Storage

I'm not sure about that concern. If the jugs are safe for WATER storage for human consumption, it seems reasonable that they are also safe for food storage. Following your train of thought, you would NOT be able to DRINK the water stored in the bleach jugs, too. Right?

    Surgery done

Wishing you a speedy recovery. How long does that actually take to 'get back on your feet'? I need to get surgery on my feet, also and put it off year after year (bump at the base of each of my big toes. Doc said it's extra bone growth! Makes wearing shoes VERY painful). Glad you got the...

So ... my question is: "Would the small butane stove be safe to use in an underground shelter?" I need to get one of these! Here's a video I found:
