    Who has a lathe?

I have a lathe big enough for a 6" pulley. But I would just buy a new 6" pulley if it was me. If you really want I would try to do it for you but no guarantee if it didn't turn out. No charge other than postage. But again, I would just buy one.

Made a few rings out of quarters, nickels, and dimes for gifts. Here are a couple of the quarter rings and a cowboy hat I tried to make out of a quarter.

    4" UPRIGHT BELT SANDER...????????????????????????????????????

4" by 36" is common. Take a string and put on the sander just like a belt then measure the length of string needed. Or if you still have a belt do like Neb says. Flatten, measure, double.

The weather here turned poorly and I spent some time in the shop. I found an old but very heavy-walled 12 gauge barrel. So thinking I needed more cannons, I made these four. Each barrel is about 5 inches long to give an idea of size. I haven't shot them yet.

    Story - New World

I haven't been spending much time here lately and I haven't been doing any writing for a long while. It has been cold and wet here for many days and I ran out of projects to work on in the shop. So I decided a couple days ago to see if I could still write a story. This is the result but it is...

Riding the modified KLR 650 in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico...

When I moved to Arizona, I promptly sold my street bike and bought a Honda Trail 110 which I put over 14,000 back road miles on. Then I sold that and bought a Yamaha TW200 and put many thousands of back road miles on that too. Some of the most fun I had was riding those two bikes around Arizona...

Yesterday I broke the handle on my WW2 British trenching tool. I use this a lot for many things on the homestead. So I made a new handle and spent a little extra time on this one just because I do use it a lot. Tried it out and the new handle is pretty comfortable. I'm sure there are new...

    Preparations Update

Last weekend we had a fiber-optic cable cut/damaged so the whole area was without internet for about 48 hours. Cash only at the small towns for gas and goods. Just a reminder to always carry some cash and a means to protect it. Note: I almost died due to lack of internet news :)
