@TeeJ probably the layers you put in the dehydrator trays were too thick and they didn't dry properly. I find that about 5- 6 eggs per dehydrator tray works well and 10 hours in the dehydrator on 65 oc works for us (let you convert to F) . Also really important to mix them properly in a food...

@UrbanHunter I would agree on a 4 - 5 year supply is about right and what we are aiming for :). Of course some things may not last that long so have to look up lifespan.

@UrbanHunter now why would the government want you to know what the actual inflation rate is on the things you use :rolleyes:. Doing similar over here and we know it is not 3.8% it is more like 30 - 40% if you take into account all the things you mention and we use. Fuel for e10 here is $1.519...
