Dad had a genset mounted on a bench, with the exhaust through the wall. The plan was to open the garage door whenever the generator was running. Security was not an issue.

Tons of stuff on line....for building sheds and even some with this particular genny.
If you plan on long term use build someplace to store a second generator when this wears out critical parts. They are great for the occasional couple of day outages.
For extra fun get one of the wireless remote sensing thermometers to track your temp in the shed. If it gets above 451F there could be issues.
