Well I pulled the trigger on this one.
I think we would use the rotary baskets a lot.
It's got good reviews, not just on Amazon.
Besides that...the wife really likes it. When we get it and get it figured out , I'll come back with a report.

Ordered last Thursday.
Arrived today.

Been reading thru the book that came with it.

Most things don't impress me, but I'm impressed by the quality so far, well built and the accessories are well built.
Lots of accessories.
And I like the 100 preprogrammed functions for about anything you want to cook.

One touch for dehydrate .
Simple operation.

And
It's made in Palatine Ill, just outside Chicago.
Made in America.

Now to try it out.

Did fry some french fries today.
I can see it will be a learning curve.

Program , auto set temp and time. 400 deg for 12 min.
I think because mine were frozen and more than 8oz.
But they were frying all while everything else was being prepared. Easy.

Had to set another 4 minutes to get them a little crispier.

But they were good. And easy.

Ok, fuggidaboud doing hamburger patties.
D R Y....

Big mess also.

It's real easy to overcook hamburgers. Make them thick and watch them closely. Flip them over halfway. When you get it figured out they are good. Try cooking them in a pan in the air fryer. It helps with the mess.

I use a lot of tinfoil with my airfryer, on the rack and in the basket, helps with cleanup.

I had bad luck with salmon patties and burgers in my airfryer. Some things need a coat of spray oil on them...

Keep in mind, an airfryer reduces the oil on your food. It does not remove oil from your foods. Once I learned that lesson cooking good food became much easier.

Something most people don't know about hamburger is that the more you work it the tougher it gets.
Form your patties with as little manipulation as possible and only turn them once. Every time you turn it makes it drier and tougher.

These were premade beef patties from our local meat market.
They're great on the grill.

I just put em in on a wire rack set them for 8 minutes (suppose to be 11) to see how they're doing.. looked good and we're cooked . But like rubber.

I have since , covered the drip tray with foil. Toss it , no clean up.

I may try them on a grill plate that came with unit.

Is it low voltage in case we use solar?

View attachment 2849 Something folks need to be aware of with air fryers… They pull a lot of current when in use. The best unit on the market is made by Phillips and it pulls 18 amps. The Cuisinart I bought pulls 15 amps. The good units are in fact convection ovens and need to be thought of that way for the electricity they use.

I had to run a dedicated outlet to my kitchen to supply power for my cuisinart.

Just be aware of the power usage of air fryers or you’ll end up wondering why breakers keep tripping. The power usage of these units is printed on the box.

Meerkat , I use multiple inverters to supply power to an appliance. I have 2500 , 1500, ,750 watt inverters .

The inverter feeds the fridge(appliance)

Batteries feed the inverter.

Solar panels feed the batteries.

Air fryer update.

I woulda been in trouble over the past 4 weeks , if I had not bought it.

I've never been much at cooking, and my wife being down and out , no going out , no wife cooking, so the air fryer has saved me .

I have used it almost everyday.
French fries , tater tots , wings , shrimp, fillets, rolls, and I know I'm missing some.

I love that thing ,
So easy and quick.

I'm not surprised you like it. Those things make cooking fast, easy, and tasty.
My SIL just got one and the first thing she cooked in it was lasagna. It did not turn out well. She cooked it just like she would in the regular oven and it was pretty much burnt up.
There is a learning curve.

Trial and error ,

I only burned some shrimp.
But I learned not to go by the instructions...use them as a guide , a little.
If they say 12 minutes I I do 9 minutes ...if I need to I go another minute or 2., That's the way to avoid burning.

Brown and serve rolls are exactly 3 minutes to perfection. I started with 2 minutes , found 3 was it.
Wings are great.
