Anyone know someone with Covid-19 or has been exposed themselves?

I think some have posted that they do know someone who currently has Covid-19, maybe family members?

One of my regular customers, whose dog I see 4 afternoons a week typically, and house sit for when they travel, is on day 9 of being told to stay home. She did not feel well, and did an online conference with her doctor. The challenge is that they did not do testing because of the shortage of test kits. One of the symptoms that some people get, I've been told, is the loss of ability to smell or taste. She has that. She is a hair dresser and has so much contact with people, it is no wonder that she got infected. All such operations are closed down in Colorado until the end of April.

So I backtracked to the last time I went to their house to pick up the dog. Twelve days ago! I feel fine.

Another one of my clients is a barber. I haven't been to her home for more than two weeks. Whew!

My brother's step daughter has been exposed and they are waiting on testing.

Mom and Dad fired their doctor a couple of years ago. She was the second positive in my home town and her husband the first.

I have an employee who was experiencing symptoms and believed he was exposed while on duty during a medical call. He was placed into quarantine and then tested at his residence. Fortunately the test came back negative, but he still has to be off for a prescribed period of time as the person he was exposed to turned out positive for COVID-19. Just for reference; he was wearing a surgical mask and nitrile gloves when he made contact.

We just heard that my wife's brother has been exposed and is quarantined to home. No test has been administered so unless he gets sick we'll never know for sure.
My brother works with a guy that may have been exposed to a guy that may have been exposed at a basketball tournament. That's a stretch but that's the way this thing is working.
We haven't been around either of them for a couple of weeks and that is befor they might have been exposed.

I don't know anyone with it, or know anyone who knows anyone with it. But I know lots of people who are affected by it, or should I say "affected by the response to it". Jobs in jeopardy, no income, massive stock losses, etc. My mom's independent senior living place is on total lockdown - no family members in or out.

As bad as it is, or we are told that it is, I'm starting to believe a bit like Trump is hinting - the cure might be worse than the disease. We need to take precautions, but total economic collapse might not be the best "precaution" to start out with.

Yep, that was added yesterday as well as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

I don't know of anyone locally, and we have been very careful with the self quarantine. A neighbor's daughter has it, but she lives in New York, and it being treated. Otherwise we keep our fingers crossed. I think the first journey into the land of the contaminated will be a grocery and meds run Saturday.

It's happened here... less then 2 miles from me, a lady I've known most of my life. She has a twin who married my cousin, it was a double wedding and I was there.

I just heard about this <5 minutes ago. Definitely a shock. The really scary part, her husband is a pastor and some of my family attend that church. It begs the question - how long ago was she exposed... and her husband, who visits the sick in hospitals every day, especially the elderly in the community. :( He even visited my dad quite often...

Now it's just wait and see! How many more people I know or am related to are going to contract it.

Had a telephone consult with one of my doctors Monday, he has it. Had a video consult last Thursday and that doctor was wearing a surgical mask while his nurse was not. I suspect he had it.

It is getting closer. A cousin had it, but again in New York. He was exposed in Washington D.C. He was sick for two weeks but seems to be on the mend now.

A close friend's daughter in law was exposed. She is a Pharmacist, and one of the support staff had the virus. These are much closer to home. We continue to be very cautious, and stay home. My wife is even trying to clean the mail.

Don't know of anyone that has it or been tested for it but have a friend who is a doctor who so far hasn't got it and he has 6 children at home.

One case reasonably close to us 60 km away from one of cruise ships that died there. Just so happens to he died 14 days earlier in the same hospital that DH had his back surgery in.

Son had told boss last Friday that he would not be working with customers or other employees anymore. So he comes in before opening and works, and does delivery and planting trees while customers wait in their home. They prepay and mark where things should go. Lucky he did, the very next day, new employee Sarah came to work, then told everyone the next day she has a fever. And that Saturday was a hugely busy day there. We'll see what happens.

We know 2. Husband and wife, husband has been a friend with my hubby since high school. They are on their 3rd round of antibiotics and are starting to feel a bit better. Wife still can't taste anything but occasionally gets a whiff of strong odors.

There are over 170 confirmed cases in my county, and the number seems to be rising exponentially. We are only testing people with significant symptoms due to the shortage of testing media, so we have no idea how many mildly ill or asymptomatic patients there are.

Dr.Pepper your a real hero aand thank you for doing what you do. Please be careful.:huggs:
