I cleaned my aquarium today! Goodness it was dirty but haven't done a complete cleaning in over two years. A balanced aquarium really doesn't need cleaning very often. All I have left to do is put the fish back in it.

I used to keep fish but found them addictive. Stated with one 10 gallon tank and ended up with tanks n every room except bathroom. That meant adding houseplants because they do well fertilized with aquarium water. Place was like a jungle before long.

Life got too busy and eventually downsized them all. I’d be afraid to start over.

I have a border collie, she gives me my morning exercise

I did the same thing. They're more addictive than people realize.

I didn't have them in every room but the living room was like going to one of the city aquariums.

A friend gave me a tank and all the equipment.
Turned out the equipment had to be replaced.
I got it all set up and bought some fish.
About a week later my wife went downstairs and I heard her make a thump and she started yelling.
I ran down and she was sitting on a very wet, brand new wood floor.
The tank cracked and about 25 gallons of water ran out.
Got it cleaned up and then I had to go buy a new tank.
So much for free.
I really like looking at them but I won't ever have another one.
