bush hogging equipment

I think it depends on your terrain and the spaces on your acreage. I've never owned an actual bush hog, but I would imagine that it takes some significant horsepower to run one.

My brother had a lot of ironweed patches and small saplings growing on his farm. His solution was to buy one of those old 30 inch deck, rear engine Snapper lawnmowers that comes with an 8 horse Briggs and Stratton on it. He got one with a blown motor, then bought a new 12 horse Briggs and Stratton and stuck it in there. Sharpen up that blade, raise the deck up as high as it will go, and you could mow over damn near anything. I did see him run the front end up a sapling that was too big to bend over once. That was some good comedy, the mower was pointed straight up in the air and he was trying to figure out how to get off of it without falling...
