Canning Beans.

You cannot imagine how many beans I have planted and gotten very little. Clearly, I could never support myself being a bean farmer and if I needed to raise my own food, I would be better off raising potatoes, because I have had lots of success raising them.

We have had no luck with potatoes. I'd rather have the taters.

Let's make a deal. I'll grow some potatoes and trade you for some beans. I haven't been in NM in a couple years. I could drive down, meet you somewhere, and trade. Maybe Amish could join us for a meal.

There are many potatoes grown in the San Luis Valley in south central Colorado.
