When I had my Dodge Superbee , I whipped many guys with a lot more power than me, but they didn't have the right tires and we're too light in the rear end , and couldn't get off the line.

You get better mileage with the charger you have and you don't have those insurance payment either. ;)

I got nothing to say... :)

I have a few MOPARs.

The most drag worthy is this Silver Bullitt Replica.

The 572 Hemis really pull hard. Mine is running a mechanical roller cam and two Edelbrock 850cfm four barrels.

I stuck with an auto shifting 727 Torqueflite and a 3.73 Dana 60.

The modern tires make it drive well.

Love it.
Would love to take it for a ride.
I kick myself for ever selling my 68 Bee.
It was a monster.

Yep the 572 is a blast.

I have a 1970 Superbee - post car with a factory original V code 440 Six Pack and column shift auto.

There weren't many built - the Road Runner was much more popular.

It could be the only triple Black one........

Those 70's 440's were the unsung heros for mopars and bad news for us.
The State Troopers couldn't catch us in the early days with their hopped-up 383's.
In 1970 they dropped that monster 440 engine in every dam trooper car, everywhere!

The game had changed. We went back to the garage and started working with Chevy 454's.
From a 1-ton pickup truck, it needed a LOT of work!
We did have a leg up on'em: Ours didn't have to idle nice on the side of the road while a ticket was being written. 😉
But don't get me wrong, if you missed 1 gear, you were a caughtass. They were GOOD!
