watched this tonight and what a fantastic and interesting building design. one of them shown is 400 years old. its basic idea of castle..sorta. the round design and limited ways in,cooking on ground floor,2nd floor is storage for crops and upper floors for sleeping and more. this shows just how important food storage was/is. i can just see a large family clan back in the day working hard harvesting rice and other grains and threshing and putting up for them to survive till next harvest system. water well in center too.

i like the look of round wood construction and how its mixed with earth and stone and more.

do doubt the building design insured survival on large scale over a single family dwelling.

Sounds fantastic, although the sheer number of people in that density could drive a lot of psychological problems -- especially in a culture like the USA -- which values individual homes and "elbow room".
until we see raiders and such in SHTF deal. then people will be begging for this type place. strength in numbers and all that jazz. the one place all the people lived there had same sir name...family clans/tribes. this is how majority of peoples have survived long term for history of planet.
