Cure For High Blood Pressure

Those are the best ways to get rid of high blood pressure as far as I know.
Reduce your salt intake may help but that is fuzzy advice from years gone by. Drop caffeine consumption and reduce sugar and all carbohydrates to as low as you can.
Walk 20 minutes a day (continuously not 30 seconds here and a minute there)
Intimate physical contact (or wild sex) is good for lowering stress and blood pressure. A good hug works as long as it is with a partner you know. (hugging strangers might not work)
Meditation twice a day. I have a recording that I made to help my students learn how to meditate - it's a twelve minute process that will teach you how to relax your body and mind, takes you there and then brings you back.
It is by no means a professional level recording but it will play on a computer or a CD player if you burn it to CD. As is all my work it is open source so it is free. It is 63.5 Mb long so it won't go through email but I have it hosted someplace that you can download it - I will just have to remember where I put it online.
For losing fat fast and not losing any muscle KETO is the best diet I know of. There are lots of recipes on line and several people here can help if you ask.
 
I have a Sgt. with high blood pressure. His MD told him the most important for him was managing (and avoiding) stress, followed by proper diet and exercise, no drinking or smoking, and to make sure he got 7-8 hours of sleep every night. He went and got a second opinion from another MD who basically repeated the same list, putting even more focus on managing stress. We made some accommodations at work to help reduce his stress and his blood pressure improved fairly quickly.

Nice that you could work out less stress for him.

Stress is a never ending aspect of this job. But what stresses one persons doesn't bother the next person at all. So we just put him in the training section for the next 9-12 months so he doesn't have to deal with the general public. I can't think of anything more stress reducing than that!
 
@Meerkat , I hope the new docs will find a BP medicine that will work with fewer side effects for you! I am leaning towards a more plant based diet for lower BP for me. Not as good for weight loss, but better for DH in general so that is our direction. Reading "How not to die" by Micheal Greger-- it's a nutrition book and talks about how our government and culture are controlled foodwise by big bucks!

Thank you Snap, I think the most important thing too is exercise something I feel back on last several months. I'm trying to deal with the negative attitude too. But I'd like to fain some weight only about 10 lb.x or less. I don't want the gain to be in my waist though so its hard. I'll tr th natural once I get BP unde control with meds for now though. Although all the professors and interns said my blood work was better than theirs. I got burned out on garening and stopped working outside and got sick,IMO. .:huggs::Thankyou:.

The worse is I'll never be able to drive again.:cry::eyeballs: or read long sentences.
 
Gentle exercise, I would think! So sorry about not driving and reading! Hope you get on a good med!

Snap I can read it just takes longer and words are more clear at certain times than others.
But driving may not happen will learn more after new dr. appt in seceral months. Heis an eye specialist that may help me see btter with vision I have lft although it can't be restored. Takes a while to see him especially new patiants.

When I was about 18 month old, my mother was a healthy 34 year old woman. She had a sudden, severe stroke - the kind where the doctors say you'll be a vegetable forever. It was just a freak occurrence, no real risk factors - she just had a massive blood clot break loose and stop the blood flow in her brain. After many months of therapy she regained mobility, albeit with a slight limp. She never regained use of her right hand. To this day it is paralyzed in one position. She also lost most of her powers of speech. However...she went on to return to being a capable cook, housekeeper, mother, and wife. She only recently, at age 79, gave up driving, although she could drive short distances if needed. She even took on work, if only a few hours a month, cleaning offices and the church.

The point of this is, she found ways to adapt, and to work through or around her limitations. I don't remember her struggles, because I was too young, but she overcame as best she could. And I bet you will too. Don't let anything get in your way of reaching your goals. Whether it's blood pressure, or driving again, or reading, or whatever. There's probably a way. If not, you can be at peace knowing you did what you could. We're all pulling for you.

As for your BP, I can't add any advice. Exercise makes a difference though. Mine is definitely better since I started last summer, and my pulse is down too...

Thank you Sdpike for the inspiring story and I agree about the exercise and not giving up. I was told exercise is the best thing you can do once BP is under control to keep numbers better.
I'm 70 and so imo everyday is a bonus and I have had for most of my life a exstreme amount of healthy energy and drive survied the obsticals along the way. So whatever will be will be don't want to die but ain't gonna worry myself to death about it. :D. That would be counter productive for sure.o_O:thumbs:

I heard from one supposed popular doctor online that salt isn't typically the issue. He said for some people it's too many carbs and sugars. It thickens the blood and makes your body work harder to pump it.

I know nothing about your life style this is just one thing to consider if it applies to you.

I personally don't have high BP so I can't attest to this but being free to try...... maybe try going low carb

Thanks Badge, and I don't eat alot of carbs normally very little sugar except in a few M&Ms since refuse to pay the price of the good chocalates now.Buthave been eating more bread than I use to.And that is not good at all.
I'm getting back to more exercise last few weeks but not there yet. I need to put on my traveling shoes again. I get cabin fever big time.
Isolarion is not good either.
 
I was taking two prescribed medications for my high BP. I converted to a whole food, plant-based lifestyle and my BP caame down dramatically. My doctor took me off of my BP meds (as well as my meds for cholesterol and Tpe 2 diabetes). A WFPB lifestyle was a life changer for me.
 
my 57 year old brother went to the Philippines and shacked up with a native girl nearly 25 years his junior. He say his blood pressure is better than ever, really just perfect. Hasn't felt that good in nearly 25 years. true story that is what he says

Meerkat, high bp can be genetic. I think you can still get it under control with everything mentioned. No one mentioned herbs and supplements.

As far as supplements go. Some say taking vitamin D3 supplement with k2 supplement dramatically helps. D3 like y'all know is had through sun exposure and K2 is found in fatty meat especially organ meat. K2 directs the D3 where it is needed in the body.

I'm not a doc and this isn't medical advice talk to your doc.....but I have heard good things of people taking around 5-10 IU's of vitamin D3 (if they are deficient) and 100mg of K2 a day and in a few weeks there is a noticeable drop in BP.

Again this probably only works in people who have a vitamin D deficiency so get labs done and talk to a doc before possibly ODing on supplements.

If you are low though check out the blood pressure stories online. Along with diet and excercise this is a supplement that might help.

I do use it but only because I'm heavily deficient in D not for blood pressure so I can't personally attest to this either. Just saw several stories online.

Good! Well then carbs isn't the issue. Lol I love chocolate to I'm eating fewer carbs but still having a little dark chocolate here and there. Lol.

Isolation can now cause a mental health issue that is diagnosable by the DSM shrink book. Lol. Humans are social creatures usually and being cooped up can break people.

Isolation will make us sick for sure. Staying busy helps so we are trying to get back to the greenhouse,hugrlkulture and maybe hydropoics.
 
Isolation is not the problem with some that it is with many.

I take 10,000 units of D3 daily. I upped that late last year after decades of 5,000 units/day. My blood tests showed 40.1 which my doctor was happy with but I was not. I want to see levels of 50 and 70 would be better. Warm water surfers typically have levels of 150 and some fishermen in the tropics have been tested at 180 due to sun exposure. I'm unaware of a toxic level of vitamin D3.
