I made a bunch of dry vegetable bouillon just for that purpose, Mo.
The twins insisted I take them to Walmart last night so they could do some Christmas shopping. Granddaughter is making most of her gifts she's giving. I really dislike our Walmart. So, I had to not see what they were buying, so I cruised the grocery area. A lot of their prices are higher than our Kroger Store, but I did pick up 10 lbs of frozen veg (corn and peas) and got them put in the dehydrator. There's were $1 a lb. Krogers is $1 for 14 oz.

Thanks for the recipe, Terri. Our son dehydrated a bunch of rabbit bones with some meat on them, ground them, and used them for added nutrients to his dog's dog food. We dehydrate the mini marshmallows for hot cocoa often. Have a real big container of hot cocoa mix and marshmallows on the kitchen counter. The twins have a 3/4 mile walk to the bus stop in the morning and they leave at 6:20 a.m. so it's pretty cold. They always make some cocoa to bring with them in a travel mug.

Going to retry potatoes now that I've gotten some sleep and can semi think.
Only got about 25 pounds or so.
10 pounds was in one box from CSA.
Then I opened the other box there to my surprise was another 5 pounds.
Two weeks ago I had bought 5 pounds of potatoes.
Go figure.
But anyway thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

My potatoes are still turning brown.
So will go to plan B.
Lots of baked potatoes turned into stuffed twice baked potatoes.

I didn't know you could freeze mashed potatoes.
Well maybe I did. DUH! TV dinners .
I scrubbed the potatoes, rinsed, put in pot of boiling water, kept them there for a couple of minutes.
Pulled out of water, rinsed in cold water, let cool for a few minutes.
Then sliced.
Maybe I will try scrubbing the potatoes, rinse, slice, then blanch etc.
Or maybe I should get more than 4 hours sleep before I try again.
